Freshman season was great. Practice was a joke, fucked around with coaches, full on tackled people when we were only supposed to lightly hit, etc. etc.

It was a great time, I wish I was eligible for freshman play

Yeah compared to soccer running all practice/games it's quite easy. But why weren't you eligible, injury?

Mine was different. It was during the drill where 2 people go in the middle and fight it out. I went against this huge guy, and he pushed me back. My foot dropped in a little sunk in spot (freshman on shitty grass field, varsity on turf), I fell over, and head whiplashed into the hard packed dirt (I did mention the freshman field was shitty, right?)

Ha our field is where the practice baseball diamond is so it's crap. I have been trucked so many times since i'm the 2nd team running back (1st team practice dummy) and also i'm extremely small (5' 5" 95lbs)

Our running back is a beast. 5'6", benches 245, squats 365, freaking monster. Runs so fast as well

Ya, he didn't have a game last season where he scored less than 3 touchdowns, half of which were on 50+ yard runs. Guess that's why we went 9-0

We lost our running back from last year to our rival school, but in my opinion, his replacement is better.

I'm a second team Varsity DB, kicker and punter. (I'm a senior but this is my first year playing football)

Any recommendations for punt/kick returning cause there is really no chance of me starting as a running back. There are like 10 running backs only two of them are straight up full backs and there is no way in hell I'm playing full.

Coming from a football player I can tend to agree. The helmet is the most important piece of equipment on the field. Also it seems that only the "skilled" (bullshit name lineman have skill too) players get nice helmets and this pisses me off because all of the lineman "don't get hit hard enough" which can be true but lineman get hit every single play unlike receivers/backs who get hit only every like 4 plays. But I agree it is definently worth getting your own helmet to protect you and your future.

I've found a fast hit from a 150 pound corner was not as hard as a slow hit from a 300 pound defensive tackle.

And yes "skill" players do require skill, but honestly lineman have just as much. Being able to move our heavier bodies at the speed we do. Being able to hold a 300 pound guy from moving. Being able to pull around the line of scrimmage, get in front of the fullback, an take out the end that is moving in. Not to mention having 50+ plays vs. the few paths skills have to remember

Without linemen i can't run the ball, the qb can't pass, etc. My hat is off to all that play.

Just found out its 6 day weeks this week and next.  :dodgy:

One of the guys on the team owns two revos! its ficken* ridiculous one for practice and one for games. (he's super rich, but it could be some thing that was made up)

So the helmet got in. Of coats it came in 10 minutes after I left for practice. This helmet hurt like hell all day long.

I come home, take a shower, open up the revo, put it on, and I couldn't believe I was wearing a helmet. It has at least 2 pounds lighter and was SO comfortable.

Absolutely amazing

So was mine, but we finished 2 a days.

I honestly think I might pick up a revo in the future as a "trophy" or to use if I get the chance to play in an adult league. I just can't afford one right now. I'm pissed that ANS has their DMs $200 cheaper now. I'd've been able to get a revo for the season.

The summer workouts here are so bad that "Hell Week" is nothing to anyone who went to summer workouts.

Excited for the season, got a hell of a lot stronger and should see some more time at Safety/OLB.

What?

Starting LB went to the DC and complained that I had an X2 and he had an X1. DC made me switch and practice was awful for me today. His helmet does not fit me even a little. Squeezes the ever living crap out of my forehead. Equipment coach told me I'm SOL and I physically cannot wear the helmet for a whole season. I'm just a little bit pissed off.

Mom said if the school can get me a discount, she might buy me a revo. I honestly wouldn't want her to pay for the school's mistake, but I just cant wear the X1. I know I complained about the X2 before, but the X2 is heavenly compared to the X1. :(

What size did you get? and what is the size (inches) of your head? Also did you get a standard color, or a +$15 color?

Might order a Revo tonight, just need these questions answered first.

Never mind, just ordered it anyway, ordered a large and my head is 22 (and a little) inches, so I figure it will fit better than a medium. It can't come fast enough TBH. My Xenith killed me again today.

The time it takes is nothing at all like if there are jerseys but with alternate colors it takes the same time to produce them, that should apply to the helmets. (Trust me i'm sponsored by Adidas i got a tour of one of the factories and got to see production at work.)

Adidas is not riddell. They make different products. Plus making a jersey in a different color will take the same time, but putting custom lettering on the jersey will add an extra step, therefore making it more expensive and take longer to make, just like with helmets

Turns out my back injury from 6-8 weeks ago might be a stress fracture... waiting on MRI reports now. I'm just really fucking pissed. Came into the season fully prepared, I've been lifting since the first day off from football and all my work means absolutely fucking nothing now. If it is a fracture I'm out for the majority of the season, if I even get to play at all.

I know that and no not really making a screen doesn't take that much extra time. So taking your example of custom lettering and painting helmets no the time it takes to produce and ship won't be such a big difference then if it were without. (i was kidding bout the the sponsorship  :P  but my aunt works at adidas and i get things free or discounted) But yes point taken adidas isn't riddell.

My team is predicted to finish last in our conference. We just won our preseason game 45-0.

We scrimmaged the sophmores yesterday fully expecting to get raped, i even told a friend i will bend over and grab my toes if that makes it get over quicker. But we held our own but still lost 21-7.

We sophomores will scrimmage the freshman this year. I honestly predict 49-3. Simply because line is a shit ton bigger, skills are faster and taller. We have more playing experience with each-other. Etc, etc.
