If you were to come out to Midway when he's out there, he'll talk you deaf for an hour or two on the K1.

Still pushing the shop to get the prototypes done. If they are, you'll be seeing pics after Vegas and all your questions will be answered ;)

Did everyone see the new Critical bolt over on Pbn? I'm intrigued, but to be honest a little skeptical. They didn't post any videos or efficiency numbers. I'm really not going to pay $60 for a bolt without any concrete information about it other than "It's better!"

It's a copy of the bolt they took out of the prototype Q7 that Critical has (Cole gave it to the owner). I have the same bolt in my tool box in black, minus the front bumper they added on.

Venturi bolts are much less efficient then open face bolts, but I guess that's the only way they could figure out how to put a soft foamie on the front of it (al la Automags).

Their bumper is also in the wrong place, it needs to be back in front of the bolt sail. That is where the bolt hits metal to metal, which adds the stress to the bolts that's breaking them.

But hey, Critical and CPS have been reliably taking care of Quest owners since they came out, so I'd still give them kudos. I'm going to get one just to check it out, regardless if it's technically "better" or not. :D

Lol yea I was wondering about the Venturi decision. Hell all of my mags have had foamies and none of them have had Venturi bolts. I don't think they needed to do that. Are you guys going to come out with a bolt kit for the OG or are you just focusing on the K1 for now?

I got one of the critical bolts, the orings are slightly moved around, but I havent gotten the chance to shoot paint through it. One of my GM's started cracking anyway, so I figured what the heck.

Oh, and I know what slamjack is.

I havent played in like forever, new job at work involves mucho travel and when I leave for weeks at a time, the wife isnt too keen on me taking an entire day to go play paintball. Im going to cali again next week, so thats good. If we didnt spend so much dam time around the airport, I'd come visit the FEP empire.

Do you usually play at SCP or Sunol? Come out to Midway and enjoy the heat, lol!

El Segundo, it's where I left my wallet this one time. :dodgy:

Ya Fremont is like 6 hours away, but Oxnard, where Dave and Urban Quest is at, is like 60 minutes north.

We're still moving along. We hit a snag in the production/design, so we're fixing it now before a tiny problem gets big.

Also have Quest bolt kits on the way. I contracted with another small local shop to get them done. I should be getting a call from them today. Waiting on the first one.

It sucks I'm so gimped up, I can't really play to test anything out. Have to rely on my boys at CPS. First my foot, now it's caused my knee on the same leg to get jacked up. Argg, getting old blows!

I played with a broken foot last weekend, and a blonde wig on. It was super fun just joking around balling with some other guys. We took a bunch of rec ballers out and made sure they had fun to. Ahh, reminds me of the good old days.

PS. I'll be in SoCal this weekend if anyone is around!

really? why?...anyways...I played today with my Quest since I picked it up. My setting were Dwell 15 with LPR at 75+. Consistency over the chrono wasn't that great(although I attribute it to the fact that my paint was three different types) and efficiency was somewhat lacking....but the Quest did shoot smooth and I'm sure once I replace the orings and tune the Quest more it'll be even better. All in all I had a great time. I ordered a bolt(not gold member but he said it does pretty much the same thing) from Ryan Podesta shop and some orings.
