I was looking over some pictures that were taken of me this past Saturday and just now realized that I roll my feet whenever I am moving at any pace short of a run as long as my marker's barrel is at the ready. I'm guessing for me it comes alot from being in marching band, but I've also noticed in many videos on YouTube that your pro players do it too. I know it stabilizies the upper body so I know it's use, but I was wondering how many of you do it as well. :)

Yeah, that's how I run.

I'm used to running long distances in track so I generally don't run on the front of my feet.

I do think you're faster if you do so, though, less stable.

It means that you lead with your heal, roll it down to the toe (like an arc) and then repeat without bouncing up and down like when you run normally. I don't do it, but I should. When I run and gun, balls are goin down field in ALL directions. haha

I find myself taking the opposite approach unless I'm walking slowly like you'd do when stalking through the brush in woodsball. Rolling your feet is a very grounded approach. I tend to run with a lot of hang time, where it almost feels like I'm reaching down to tap the ground so that I can stay aloft. It's all about staying on the balls of your feet. I find that this method gets you where you're going faster, while providing a reasonably stable shooting platform.

Depends how fast I'm trying to go... if I'm just booking it as fast as I can to the snake, then no. If I'm on a bunkering run, sometimes, although generally at that kind of range it's hard to miss even if you are bouncing around a bit. But off the break or going from bunker to bunker, yea I usually do.

It is slower, but much smoother if executed properly. This is how Russian Legion runs and guns. They hold their guns into their lower arms and roll on their feet.

Personally I just spray and hope I get lucky. The real magic happens behind my bunker. ;)

No real clean, distinct pictures of what I'm talk about from Saturday. I just realized it from my posture and leg positions more than anything.

Explains it better than we have so far. For the life of me, I can't find any videos on YouTube of exactly what I'm talking about.

Best I've got, but my right foot is mostly hidden behind scrub grass. :S

I think 1:25 to about 1:30 in the following video illustrates it pretty well.

yes i also do this as I have trained in shooting while moving with real weapons no t just paintball. In shooting this is know as a gaucho walk. This keeps you very stable and allows you to have a steady sight picture. the fact that you do this shows you have very good mechanics.

here are some pics of what he is talking about.

the dynasty dissected clip is perfect .
