It's a good idea soda is really bad for you. I only drink juices and the occasional diet soda.

It has a lot of sugar in it. That's about it. Having a soda with lunch every day isn't going to do any appreciable harm to you. But if you turn into one of those loons you see on Dateline than pound down a flat of Mt. Dew every day, there will be problems in your future. I like that people will give up soda as if it is the great evil in their diet, then go on eating over-processed foods laden with preservatives, fast food, and an abundance of foods low in fiber, high in sodium, and generally just dietetically worthless.

Your diet is every food and drink you put in your body; changing one single variable is usually meaningless, unless you were abusing that variable to begin with.

Soda has chemicals in it that remove calcium from bones and over a period of
Time can make them less flexible and weaker.

I stopped drinking soda for awhile until I realized that some of "juices" that I replaced it with were actually a lot worse (often times 2x the calories) than the can of soda.

I now drink a can about every other day... But if i could cut that out too, I would save around 1000 calories a week which would probably be a good idea. But going water only is so bland.

Nice, giving up soda is a big step, and a hard one. One soda per day is not going to be very bad for you, but quitting them altogether certainly cannot hurt. I tried something like this once, except I drank water only, basically in an attempt to lose weight. People would not realize how many of their calories actually come from what they drink and not from what they eat.

Sadly, I'm addicted to soda but my mom used to limit me one a day and I have stuck to that habit. Oh and everything causes cancer including our tap water. Tap water has a chemical called fluoride in it which is used to prevent tooth decay. Scientist conclude too much fluoride causes lose of IQ points and even cancer. It's also used in the tooth paste at the dentist. Kids have swollowed too much and died. No bullshit! I swear google it. hahaha got way off topic.

Its common knowledge that tap water has minute amounts of flouride in it, and basically any toothpaste you can find has it as well. But too much causing loss of intelligence and cancer? Unless they were testing with basically pure flouride, I dont believe a scrap of what you said. Get us some links to back up your post.

I will laugh as they overwhelm our enemies in a flurry of spotted banana hammocks.

That's usually what they use. Like rats and aspartame they give them unnatural amounts of the substance is no wonder they got cancer.
