Well, this afternoon I went out an jogged five miles because I was bored and wanted to explore a different section of town. Ran 2.5 miles out, 2.5 miles back, and then walked a mile to cool down. Normally I only do 3.5 miles a few times a week along with spending time on an exercise bike. If I'm able to move, I'll probably do it again tomorrow.

(Yes, this was a completely useless post)

If youre sore tomorrow, it just means you didnt hydrate or stretch enough afterwards.

Drink water, Drive on.

I will laugh as they overwhelm our enemies in a flurry of spotted banana hammocks.

Just depends on how conditioned your body is i guess.. I used to couldnt run 1 mile w/o being sore well now i run 1.5-2 every day and im fine. Cause i do it every day i guess. But i dont think you'll be that sore though if you are you'll pull through

It all goes away after time. College and pro athletes still get sore after starting up training but it goes away, your body just needs to get used to it.

Surprisingly, I'm not that sore today. A little in the knees, but not bad.

Have you ever considered reading a thread before you reply to it? This is a week and a half old, and I already stated that I wasn't all that sore the day after. It's two posts above yours.

Congratulations. I remember the first time I actually ran a mile without having to stop to catch my breath...age 21...

If you work at it, it's incredable how fast you can add miles or time, depending on what you want to push. If you're focus is tournaments, I'd highly recommend sprinting telephone poles. Basically sprint to the next telephone pole as fast as you can, then walk to the second, sprint to the third, etc.
