Try the apex barrel ANS has tippman apexs for 40$ now, basically what the apex does is it has a rubber piece that when the ball hits it inside the barrel it puts a spin on the ball which makes it a nasty barrel to be staring down in the woods... Trust me I know
well my title says im a n00b, but arent we all on the inside

What's up guys. I'm kinda new to paintballing and had just purchased some used markers. I have a Spyder Xtra 05. I've just dissasembled it for cleaning and am putting it back together. My question is: where is the switch to lower the trigger sear on this gun? It isn't on or near the handle on the model. And no it did not come with the manual. I've downloaded several manuals for this gun but none have explained how to lower the sear..... and yes I know I'm an idiot for buying a used gun with considerable abuse asteticlally. The internals look fine as far as I can tell. But can someone help me please.

It should be somewhere on the gripframe. If you cant find it just remove the gripframe and then stick the striker in.

Ya I got it guys thanks! Another question, is there any way to put pics in the postings? I have a 12 inch 2 piece rifled barrel without any brand logos on it. I was wondering if anyone would be able to identify it.

Nevermind, based on the color of the parts on the gun, I think its just a spyder 2 piece.

Its me again. I noticed that neither of my guns has a sear buffer for the trigger mech. I'm sure these need to be replaced before the guns actually work, but will they work without them?

Will spyder threaded barrels fit the field rentals (Tippman 98 or BT 4)?

No. Spyders are Spyder threaded, 98's are 98 threaded, and BT4's are A5 threaded.

G1 Blackheart by a mile. For one the TM7 is built off the Mini platform, but not the V3, so it will break at some point, that alone is a good reason not to get one.

You just fit the plastic ends on the straps into the hole on your mask... It's easy

I show up at a field that I never been to before for some rec-play wearing cargo pants with a t-shirt....carrying a old mech Spyder and two pringle potato chip cans for pods shoved in the pants pockets. The stares are priceless and after the first game or so you get to see the grins from the ref and players who know....priceless.

Jersey and Pants should just be ordered in a bigger size, But for your mask, try the Sly Profits or Proto Axis Pro.

Sly profits- http://www.ansgear.c...Sale_s/2749.htm
Proto Axis Pro- http://www.ansgear.c..._Masks_s/19.htm

Woopsies. Didnt realize that was on the first page.

Any ninja is fine. Get a high pressure output. For a mask, go to your store and try them on.

First thing you want to buy is a good mask: do not skimp on a mask, It is your most important piece of equipment.

Has anyone flown with a case of paint in the carry-on or checked bags? TSA might consider it over the 4 oz liquid rule for carry-on but i can't imagine it being an issue in checked luggage. Anyone have experience with this?

Agreed. I always like to see if I can talk sellers down a bit, but if you get it at that price it's not a bad deal.

Is the azodin kaos good? I'm going off of what mike said cuz I only played once with a 98 and it was woodsball. I am looking at it because it's 90 dollars but when I looked around at the reviews, everyone liked it. (I'm also looking at the halo hopper).

of those two I'd get the mini. Although my first choice would be a gog extcy. Great gun for the price. If you want to double your budget check out the empire axe for $500.

The kaos is a great starter marker. It'll do everything you want other than ramping, but hey who needs ramping!? My favorite budget hopper is the vlocity with dynasty upgrade. You can get it on ansgear.com for $44 I believe.

Ok being my first ever post I suppose there is no other place for it. I have an 09 SLG (currently at DYE getting fixed) and I want to upgrade. I used to play a lot of speedball and I've bumped up to air ball so I want a better marker that can perform better. The refs at the field told me about the Axe and needless to say I'm crazy about it lol. Now, I have 12" stiffi I got for hella cheap and a Z2. So I guess the question is... Is the Axe a good upgrade from what I have or should I take another route? Oh! I also don't want to pass the $500 mark

Ok I'll take your word for it.

One more thing I want to know. What exactly sets all guns apart? I mean, what is it that makes the NT cost a bazillion more dollars than a PMR or even a crappy Spyder? Accuracy? Consistency? I sure hope it's not looks lol

It basically comes down to three things.
  • Designed to be cheap or reliable. This refers to whether they were meant to be cheap guns from the start, or whether they were designed to perform without sacrificing cost in manufacturing.
  • Complexity and operation of bolt engine. Simple guns, like the Ion or G3 will be cheaper, because they're simple to make, and are a less complicated gun.
  • Quality. Simply put, some guns are just worth more, because there's a certain level of tolerance built into the whole gun.
With all that said, I really don't think any gun over $500-600 is worth it, because you can get a $500 gun that shoots just as awesome as a $1500 gun. The super expensive guns will typically have more goodies that come with the gun, but that's about it.

Also, just to clear something up, accuracy is independent from paintball guns. You put the same paint in different guns, and shoot it at the same velocity, both guns will have the same accuracy. It all comes down to the paint.

Sounds like the regulator is closed off. Try adjusting it to let air into the gun.

Hello, I just bought a 2009 shocker nxt. I put in the guerilla air tank and turn on the asa but it wont shoot. What is wrong, the gun will turn on but the gauge on the gun will be at zero. PLEASE HELP.

Find the velocity adjustment screw, set the pressure on the guage to 190psi.

I have a question. Is should I save up to get a 68/45 or just take the 48/30 my friend is offering me for 45$?

You can buy a new tank for less.

Also if you dont play at a field with a fill station you may want to go with the 68/45 because of the higher capacity.

The 68/45 is going to be $100 more than the 48/30 your friend is offering. The question is, can you justify the extra cost? For me the answer is yes because not only is it a little lighter, but it can hold much more air than the 48/30. Which means im going to be able to play longer than someone that has a 48/30
