Mike doesn't own his own field. But he lives in Florida. \

And type in paintball marker stand on ebay. There are tons for sale.

They are referring to their signature, where they probably have a link to their BST sale thread. It just means they're offering a trade with whatever's in their sig.

For the stand, I know a lot of people who got some PVC and built their own. It really isn't too hard to do. just look up a design on line.

I am not sure where mike lives (I think somewhere around florida), but I don't think he owns his own field (Either that or he does and just goes to other fields a lot).

It's how the gun feels in your hands. Whether or not the grip or foregrip are comfortable. It plays a large role in peoples decisions on guns.

More or less. You can take almost any regular cocker and modify them. Some cockers came as midblocks or minis, but you can take just about any fullblock cocker and mini it, or make it a halfblock or midblock. This pic should help.

you need a dremel at least to do your own body work. Somebody here used to do half-blocking, not sure if he still does it.

@pb=life (the reply picture was getting lengthy) so its just cosmetic right? Theres no better style (other then weight) because ive been lookin for an autococker as my next pump (and semi because cockers are cool like that) and i like the half block look more then any gun on the market really and was wonderin if it helps or just cosmetic?

All just cosmetic largely. Obviously there are going to be some weight reductions because you are physically removing metal. Personally if you're going to buy an old autococker to convert back to pump (which is awesome, that's what I did) Go with the full block. They're just cooler.

When you start a thread or post up a reply the tool bar will present you with the option to insert media. The icon for it is in the toolbar and looks like 3 photographs. you then post the link to the pic.

I bought a Ninja 68/4500 carbon fiber tank today. I am a bit worried as I was giving it a look over, touching the pin and the o-rings on the regulator nozzle etc, and then I touched my fill nipple. Obviously Ive heard the exploding tank horror stories and am a bit paranoid. I have not filled the tank yet, but I am worried that from touching the regulator nozzle and then the fill nipple that I may have transferred some of the stock lube/oil (is there any lube/oil on a ninja reg out of the box?) on to the fill nipple.

Is this something I should be concerned about?

Thanks.

Unless you could actually see grease on your fingers I wouldn't worry, it takes more than a speck of it to blow up a tank.

NEED HELP!

First off, I'm a complete noob to autocockers. I just received a 2004 wgp Autococker prostock from a friend but the little rubber tube in the front (idk what they're called) is broken. Can I replace just the tube or should I buy a whole new thing up front? I have no idea what any of that stuff is or what its all called. I only have experience in tippmans. Help me out if you can! Thanks!

You'll love that setpu as long as the mini fits you, it's a little small for some people so you may want to hold one and see how it feels. Also if you don't already, get a good mask. It is one of the essentials for a good setup. You can't mow faces if you can't see.

Thanks you guys I love the community support so far but I'm worried it will be too small I'm 6' 2" and pretty lanky but I live in Scranton pa so their are not a lot of places in my area to go, I may go to skirmish soon but $100 for a case is a bit much and I have a jt spectra mask right now I may upgrade later on

Is this a good setup? Don't tell me to use HPA because there are no places that fill up HPA near me.
Tippmann Carver One 79$
Proto Primo 15$
Co2 20oz 15$
Vforce Fieldvision 25$
This is the extent of my budget right now.
Also, what are eyes?

Setup is no better than a rental.

Eyes are two lasers that read across the breech (the part where a ball sits in-front of the bolt ready to be fired). One eye outputs the beam, another receives it, the marker wont fire unless no signal is received because in order for there to be nothing for the eye to detect a ball has to get in the way, so the gun knows theres a ball there. Having eyes means a gun is less likely to break paint, as it cant fire until a ball is loaded properly.

I just bought an empire 68/4500 tank on amazon.com and I brought it to get filled at my local field and they told me it was a low pressure tank he said he could tell because the bottom part of the regulator was blue, my new invert mini comes in the mail tomorrow but he said it won't work with the gun. Is he right and if so what tank should I buy that's high pressure how do I tell the difference online.

What he is saying is that the tank has a low pressure regulator. Would you please link the page where you bought the tank?

I show up at a field that I never been to before for some rec-play wearing cargo pants with a t-shirt....carrying a old mech Spyder and two pringle potato chip cans for pods shoved in the pants pockets. The stares are priceless and after the first game or so you get to see the grins from the ref and players who know....priceless.

Is it a lightish blue? Then it is in fact a low pressure output, which is probably sitting around 450 psi. It will still work on your Mini.

Hang on, I think I'm thinking of a different reg.

Hello im just getting in to paintball i have cheap spyder sonix i plan on getting an electric marker soon would you say a dangerous power e1 is a good second marker

Everyone has different preferences, but generally a lot of users here, including myself, do not recommend the Dangerous Power E1. (Some sample discussions are here and here)

The Spyder Sonix is probably about adequate to what you could get renting at most fields. Before you by your next marker, I'd recommend that you get the best possible mask first regardless of the price. The "best possible mask" is going to be one that fits you comfortably and does not fog. Good candidates would be the Vforce Grill and Profiler, JT Proflex, Sly Profit, Proto Pro Axis, Empire E-vents and E-flex, and Dye i4. Prices range from $60-110. It's highly recommended you try on masks at a pro shop or at your local field before you buy - everyone has certain preferences about what they do and don't like in masks.

Once you have a good mask, I would recommend you upgrade your hopper for your Spyder. Good choices are the Spyder Fasta 18v, Invert Too, and Valken V-max. They all run between $65 and $85. Better choices are the Dye Rotor, Pinokio Classic, and Empire Prophecy Z2. They are going to run between $130 and $190.

Next, I would upgrade your tank to a carbon fiber, XX/4500psi tank (where XX is the size, like the most commonly seen 68"). You're probably already using a tank with your Spyder Sonix, but a carbon fiber tank will decrease your marker weight, give you more air capacity for playing on, and have better resale value. You can buy them new for $150+ or get them used for around $100. A good used site for carbon fiber tanks is swapmytank.com.

I would only get a new marker after you've gotten the new mask, new hopper, and new tank. I'd also plan to spend at least $250 on a marker if you're looking at brand new markers. Don't rule out used markers if you're by now used to cleaning and maintaining your Spyder. You can get a lot nicer features for a discount price by purchasing a supergun from a few years past (like a Bob Long Alias, Dye DM8, PE Ego7, etc.).
