Where do you keep your case of paint when you are in a game?

Do you just leave it in your car or do you leave it on the floor or what?

I know you put some paint in your pods, but what about the rest?

It depends on what you feel comfortable doing. If you don't like the idea of your paint just sitting in the open, or you're worried about it getting stolen, stick it in your car with the windows cracked.

I usually put mine in the shade to prevent any issues with paint swelling etc

I keep my paint in a cooler inside my car, that way it's less affected by the heat.

Hey, I'm looking to get in to speedball and was wondering what guns might be recommended.  Thanks!!

Price range and are you willing to buy used? For about $250 you can get a used etek 3 lt there are several up on the bst right now and they are solid reliable shooters that will give you ZERO trouble. If you are even more strapped for cash look into a potential used Gog Extcy it will be a little less efficient than the Etek but it will be quieter and smoother they can be had for <$200 used. Although I always recommend Eteks to newer players simply because they NEVER have ANY problems and require little to no care.

ALSO You NEED a good mask loader and hpa tank.

Look into any HIGHEND mask such as the I4, Events, Grills, Profilers, E Vents, Eflex, Prophets, Or my Personal Favorite the older JT Proflexes. Try it on before you buy it, you will thank me later.

For tanks you can buy a used carbon fiber hpa tank off the bst for about $80 68/45 is your best bet it fits most people well.

As for loaders look into getting a used superloader such as a dye rotor they can be had for less than $100

Hope I helped.

A bit on the expensive side, but if you can afford all that then that's a great setup.

if you want to save a bit of money you could always just use volleyball knee pads as they are $10 and work very well.

You should also try on a few different sets of masks, jerseys and pants before you make your purchase. That way you can find what fits you the best.

I am having trouble programming my my PE Etha with my eyes on. I have been shooting it with my eyes off because no matter how I program it with my eyes on once I leave the program settings it reverts back to where it was before i changed it. I have watched many videos and none seem to help.

Make sure the eyes are clean then reset the board to stock and try again.

Hi im new to pb and just got a tippman gryphon out of box. Would I need to oil it before play? How often would I need to oil it? I read somewhere that I just need to drop a few in the ASA and dry fire it until it stops dripping oil out the front, is that true?

Welcome to Techpb.com and paintball. As for oil in the Gryphon. Yes, a few drops in the asa before play is a good thing. However, I've never read where you want it dripping out of the barrel. I can't imagine this would be good for the paint, let alone the marker.

Even then, just 2 or 3 drops is fine, and you don't even have to do that every time you play.

Can you tell where the scraping is coming from? Also the unjam trigger not working is unfortunately a symptom of how it's designed; have you adjusted the tension screw on the back of the motor box at all?

Like I posted in the thread you just started...

They will both perform the same. The most important thing when buying a tank is buying one that has the length you want, be it a shorter or longer tank.

Ok here's my two question . Im getting back into pb with my wife and we picked up two Empire Axe markers with Halo too loaders and high quality masks . I have held off on picking up the HPA tanks so I could get my wife down to the pro shop and get her one that fits on her marker and fits her body .

1. Is there any upgrades that I should worry about with this marker new out of the box besides the barrel .

2. Is there any extra protection that a female might need on the field this is her first time playing and I dont want her to get discouraged on her first outing .

We will most likely be going to orbital paintball for the first time we play with some friends and they will be renting there markers . Any info on that will be helpful also .

Thanks again for helping out a noob and his lady .

None, not even the barrel.  There are lots of upgrades you could get, but none that you need and none you should worry about. The possibilities I'd look at when you have the money are:

1. Lurker or Boss Bolt - this will make the shot feel smoother and be a bit more efficient.  There's a reported very slight tradeoff in the ability to handle fragile paint.

2. Lurker Poppet or Polished Poppet - this will increase your efficiency.

3. An underbore barrel - this will increase velocity, allowing you to turn down pressure and increase efficiency.

As far as protection goes, none of my female friends that play have wanted a chest guard.   My general recommendation is don't go to a field where the refs don't check chrono velocities, and preferentially select fields with a 260-280fps cap.  Alternately, find fields that have .50 cal or use JT Splatmasters.  Once your wife is used to getting hit during low velocity/low impact play it won't be as big of a deal, and having it be less of a concern initially will help her transition into regular play.

I got one more question . I picked up a jersey and some pants from empire , there 2012 ltd edition . After looking at the sizing chart on here I came to the conclusion for my size 6'3" 265lbs , chest 53" around and waist of 40 . I went with size xxxl for the jersey and xxl for the pants . The jersey said to measure across the chest so I did all the way around and divided that in half , but I ended up buying the biggest one they had . The pants I just went a size bigger than my normal witch is 40 but the xl were 38-40 and I wanted a little room so I went with xxl 44-46 and I should be able to adjust the straps on the sides . I just want to know if I made a good decision ?

For the pants I can definately say yes, Empire pants have always felt small when I've had them on.  I've learned when in doubt, go bigger when it comes to them.  If you are on the top end of the waist measurement, go bigger for sure.  Generally chest size is measured under the arm pits all the way around.  Typically you don't have to divide anything but that sizing sounds right for whatever you did ^_^ .

I've owned the Empire LTD pants and currently own the Contact Zeros.

i answered that to quick do you mean just rolling it through the barrel or stright up hopper on and just falling out the end of the barrel . no it dose not just fall out the marker . but i am sure it would just roll through the barrel if i just did one ball bu hand .

For under-boring I'd suggest a .678 or .679 bore, this will ensure you're under-boring with most paintballs, even if the paint is bored at .693 you should not get anymore breaks than you would with an over-bore.

For under-boring I'd suggest a .678 or .679 bore, this will ensure you're under-boring with most paintballs, even if the paint is bored at .693 you should not get anymore breaks than you would with an over-bore.

With that small of an underbore you would start to get hooking shots.

Punkworks recommends not underboring more than .007 if i remember correctly. http://www.techpb.co...racy/?p=1278045

Interesting, most of the paint I shoot is under .685 so I guess I wouldn't experience that problem.
