Put your opinion on which guns purchased today, will be worth alot of money in the future

In my opinion, the WGP Karnivor is going to be worth a fortune in the future. Think of the Nexus Autocockers, the Karni almost rivals that in terms of quality of build, etc

You can get them for $400 right now from FirstCall

Don't open the box, don't mess with it, put it in your attic. In about 5 to 10 years, they'll be worth 3 times that price

well karnis seem to be enjoying a bit of a renaissance these days. they arn't bad guns by any means and if your will to play with them, they are compete at the top levels still, which makes them kind of a "cool kids tournament gun"

however, as paintball technology progresses we might see even smaller and lighter guns, which would push the karni into a true "bricklike and unreliable" type of category in which the resale will drop, until they become true classics (typically takes a good 6-9 years, in which the resale will probably pick up a bit.

karnis are cool though, if i had one, i would probably be way to tempted to play with. then again, im the kinda guy who acutually plays with there classic and collector series guns.
The ultimate truth in paintball is that the interaction between the gun and the player is far and away the largest factor in accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

And yes, Gordon is the sexiest manifestation of "to the front."

I think any marker that is rare at the moment will be extremely valuable in about 10 years. I am talking about kp2/3's, 007's, pgp's, older BE stuff, palmers, various cockers, nova's, splatmasters, and especially custom work like punishers, doc's and ect.

from todays market maybe the airowgun, mini, m-tac... Its hard to say really, it depends on the future of our sport and which direction it takes.

I'm expecting the MTAC to be one myself. Seems like it'll be the KP2 of our generation. Heavy as balls, with a "milsim" look, but an exceptional marker.

Otherwise....Eh. I'm not too sure really. Much like with cars, the market has been flooded with so many different types and brands of markers, it's hard to find a small group of markers that will be remembered forever. Maybe the first generation of markers that are coming back will be collectors, but that's my best guess.

I'm thinking an e2 karni will be worth a quite a bit seeing as how's it was the true tourney marker of its time. But that one runs for 500 nowadays I believe.

Phantoms also have potential, imo.

Today's markers .....

1. If you can still find a tippmann C3. One of a kind there. It'll be vintage.
2. Maybe the new shocktech cocker will have some higher value in the future.
3. Any mech cocker.

If paintball goes through the 50cal revolution and fades away I bet you money that the markers produced in that time period that use 50cal. will be worth alot afterward. Or vise versa if it stays 50cal than alot of 68cal markers will become valuable collectors idoms. Maybe even all of them but that would be at least a time span of 10-20 years before that could even happen through my eyes.

As fast as paintball has grown and advanced, it wouldn't surprise me to see a whole new game play in 5 years. Which could change things instantly.

this marker in particular will be rare as hell (already is) and its 50cal,

I agree with the Karnivor on one condition, It isnt fucking chopped up. Every time I see a half blocked/mid-blocked Karni, I cry a little on the inside. Why would someone ruin that bueautiful milling??? It's getting hard to find a full boddied Karnivor these days so if you have one, DONT CUT IT UP!!!!!!

I'm going to guess the RTR Gargoyle. Unless it takes off huge and the production method changes there will be a relatively small number of them produced. They have some innovative features for a stock class pump, and the fact that it takes phantom internals means it should be easy to find parts and maintain.

I'd love for my Desert Fox and Promaster to be considered classics. I picked up the Fox fairly recently because I wanted one when they were new but it was out of my price range then. So it's a classic to me.

Well the problem with palmers is that he still sells the same guns he sold 20 years ago, for the same price

It's hard for something to become a classic, when it's still on the shelf

To become a classic, it must-

1) Have some sort of unique trait about it
2) Be out of production
3) still have some sort of cult following
4) Still be functional even after a few years

And I have never shot one, it has just always stood out to me.

After Earon Dies, the Desert Duck will be worth millions!

Kinda like the DD68 David loo duck, they are priced at around $6000.

I would have to say Rap4 T68 when there discontinued and probly any of the tiberious markers (not pistols). Just becuz u can get them with or without a hopper but i think that the mag fed ones will be rare, and the ones modified for first strike will be very rare.

I also agree ever since the first time i layed eyes on the karni i wanted one finaly might pick one up this summer.

any planet eclipse cocker thats in good condition, i have an 03 factory cocker with e1 frame and i have had offers of 600 for it. and look at the nexus serices cockers, i day a dc1 and dc2 on the nation today that was going to 1400 and 1700 respectivly. the wgp orracle should be just as much a collector as the karni seeig as how they are very similar, different milling and a few new features on the karni, like the internat cocking rod, i see more karni's then e-orracles at my locals fields. oh, the nickle plated karni will be worth a lot in a few years, i see them on ebay going for 500-600 used every once in while.

the e2 board has better trigger and eye logic, also more custom settings/modes. the difference between the frames is the how the trigger sits in the frame, the e1 isnt recessed, and the e2 trigger guard has more room. the e1 board was an led screen and e2 has an lcd screen like the ego board. also, the front noid cover on the e1 is open onthe bottom, where as teh e2 is fully enclosed. i am ot an expert on cockers, so someone correct me if i missed anything

I think the TM7, as the first fully MilSim EPneu will get some love - like the MTac.
And the Luxe/Impulse/Victories, as the first macrolineless markers, might be too.
Who knows, I'd even give the Azodin KP a chance - it is sorta flashy.

My vote goes to anything AKA... the Merlin is supposed to be a great cocker, and I know for a fact that the Excalibur and Viking are some of the best electros ever produced anywhere by anybody. And the fact that Smart Parts pretty much forced them out of the marker-making business gives them that much more of a cult following.

Probably not. Being mass-produced and common would take the value down as a classic.

"Experience is a nice way to say you've had your ass handed to you in a very unpleasant way and you learned something from it." Rob Rubin
"I'm certified to administer first-aid massages in the event of female breast trauma. I have a card and everything."- Prometheanflame
"You can wish in one hand and shit in the other, and see which one fills up first. The numbers come back, and it sure as hell ain't the lucky one, son."

To become a classic, it must-

1) Have some sort of unique trait about it
2) Be out of production
3) still have some sort of cult following
4) Still be functional even after a few years

For my GCPB Savant
*cough* ION *cough*

1) Check.
It's a one of 25 Prototype made by Lucky right before they went out of business

2) Check.
Only 25 were ever made. It was a prototype never released. The company that made it is gone.

3) Check.
It's a damn Ion. It has THE cult following.

4) Maybe?
I hope so. So far so good.

The simple fact that an Ion fits that list probably means that the list is incomplete...

100% of the cake is a lie, if you're one of the 15% that just accidentally a whole coca-cola bottle, put this in your sig.

I could do a triple backflip, shoot out all of vendetta, and then proceed to fuck Megan Fox in the middle of the field and walk off and people would still call me "That Guy".
