Same as an ego. I can't see those being too much of a classic.

I would have to say the PL AKA markers
JMJ and Destructive Customs put out some low number Shiny markers that perform great, I think they will stand the test of time.

on top of that Karta mags, xmags and Emags

Well the problem with palmers is that he still sells the same guns he sold 20 years ago, for the same price

It's hard for something to become a classic, when it's still on the shelf

To become a classic, it must-

1) Have some sort of unique trait about it
2) Be out of production
3) still have some sort of cult following
4) Still be functional even after a few years

Any viking or excal perfectly follows every one of those rules. . Infact since every 1 is milling them now, id think that an 02 blind unmilled viking/excal will be very rare and valuable 10 years down the road. d

the original rippers are worth a fortune right now as is. and of course all of the SL markers from eclipse are gonna be worth a nice chunk after a while. any of the eclipse cockers, and pretty much any timmy will be worth a bit. the older marq's, and any marq for that matter is going to be worth a good amount in about 10 years. definatly the quest, the older cyborgs, any sandridge, and the toxic toys markers are gonna be up there in about 4 or 5 years

do u mean ripper autocockers? or gen 1 ripper timmies?

Have you been reading the thread at all? Almost all of those fit as something that WON'T become a classic.

I belive that in the future, Palmer made guns, will have kids saying there so agg and such while a gun such as a ION will basically be valued as much as a normal Brass Eagle Talon, and kids will hack IONs up with a hacksaw without even caring.

I'm guessing Tiberius Tac 8's will be classics in 10-15 years. They will be the first true clip fed pistol, so that should make them worth something. Assuming that Tiberius discontinues them and only produces the Tac 9 or some new model.

Put your opinion on which guns purchased today, will be worth alot of money in the future

In my opinion, the WGP Karnivor is going to be worth a fortune in the future. Think of the Nexus Autocockers, the Karni almost rivals that in terms of quality of build, etc

You can get them for $400 right now from FirstCall

Don't open the box, don't mess with it, put it in your attic. In about 5 to 10 years, they'll be worth 3 times that price

Does this mean mine is worthless?

It Kinda does. If I was an authentic buyer. I don't want to buy the Bastered Karni with a Bunch of after market crap that weren't made for it.

You wouldn't buy a Karni anyway, cause you hate them. :P

I think Karnis/Cockers with these kind of permanent non-aftermarket mods will be similar to KPs that had their stocks cut to be "pirated" or their sc feeds chopped off in favor of direct feeds. Really any sheridans that have been modded (because there are so few aftermarket mods) will be similar to this and may only appeal to a select market.

Blasphemy.

In 20 years the same things that are "vintage" now will be then. Not taking custom guns into consideration most things in the last 10 years have been mass produced.

Top ten of big $$$ Items.

#10.Chipley Series 5 Autococker
#9. Private Label Impulse(Rat, Money, Python, Nasty etc..)
#8. Tippmann C3
#7. Private Label 2003 Matrix( Tequila Matrix, Enity matrix, NYX, Toxic etc.)
#6. Bob Long Dragon Alias
#5. Private Label E-Cockers(Darkside, Bonebrake, Nexus, Disruptive etc.)
#4. Karnivore
#3. Palmer E-Blazer
#2. JMJ Concepts Featherlight Viking.
#1. E-Mag/X-Mag.

I personally think once AGD says "We did not want paintball to become this, were done."

The Mags will go ^^^^In Price..

Also you have to remember, 2001-2004 Were the absolute best years in paintball EVER, I don't think Paintball will ever get that "charm" back like it did in those years.. So look for markers made in that Era for your $$$

Its a Dragon Intimidator/Timmy not Alias.

I think the Species Timy might be 1. Hopefully it is cause I'd have 4 guns that will hopefully be classics.

Almost any good conditioned Automag should become a classic. In particular the very rare E and Xmags. The amazingly underrated and seemingly never heard of Automag ULE Custom should also become a classic. A mech gun cabaple of 25bps with no chops???

Any year AKA Viking, in particular the 04 featherlite ... easily one of the best guns ever built.

I second the Tequila Sunrise and NYX Matrix, those guns are just awesome.

The Bushmaster 2000, one of the original electrics that competed with WDP and became know as the "poor man's Angel". I recently bought my original blue Bushy back that I had owned since new in 1999 and rebuilt it. Spent a total of maybe $200.00 getting it back and fixing it and that damn thing actually shoots better now than it did back then. ICD built some amazing quality guns, if you take care of them, they last forever, more than I can say for my DM3! Its not as fast (12bps) but the guns are just incredible. 10 years old and after a few new o-rings, reg adapter, Hyper 2, and a thorough cleaning it still can spray paint out there with the best of em' and it is ready to perform everytime I put air into it. Quality, I hope this does become a classic, but if it doesn't, like someone previously said, always a classic to me!

I hope so... (mostly because i have an atomix and species), but i still think that the aka excal is a more likely candidate. It is closed bolt (which is uncommon nowdays) discontinued, gets 2k shots off of a 68/45 and is one of the most well built gun ever made.

I think the dragun fly would be one at some point. It had a mechanical and e version. the noid cover on the e version looked pretty sweet

wasnt that the cocker ripoff that used spyder threads/front block?

iirc dragun markers had a reputation of breaking alot (i know my tes did) and being an inferrior quality to the real deal.

I gotta put a phantom up here, even though i hope to god they never stop being produced, its a possibility
Ive found no problem in this wold that cannot be fixed with duct tape, jb weld, and a bigger gun

i think that the following short list of 'modern era' markers will be joining the vintage stuff that is already rare and valuable to collectors:

Palmers
Carters
CCM
ICD Desert Fox (probably already on the list)
Novas and SuperNovas
Certain mags
Certain 'cockers
Certain Vikings/Excals
Certain Angels
Certain Gen-E Matrices
Certain Rainmakers
Certain Phantoms
And finally, all limited run markers (including but not limited to the redux, gargoyle and dsg shotgun)

I don't see most modern-era electros being highly sought-after in the future. Some of the more innovative/historical/bizarre/special edition or private label type stuff is certainly worthy of mention, and found its way onto my list.
