They are wrapped with different materials. The fiberglass has to be hydro every 3 years and the carbon fiber every 5 years. Also I think the fiberglass is just slightly heavier than carbon fiber tanks, correct me if I'm wrong.

ur wrong on both of ur statments...... fiber glass doesnt need to be hydro every 3 years. it has 5 years just like the carbon fiber tanks, and fiberglass tanks are lighter than carbon fiber.

lol dude im telling u right now fiberglass is lighter than carbon fiber.... u can even ask mike. at my local proshop, we weighed a carbon fiber 68ci 3000psi and a glassfiber 68ci 3000psi, and the glass wraped tank was lighter. and just to make sure we did the same thing again, except with a 68ci 4500psi carbon fiber tank and a 68ci 4500psi glass wraped tank, and the glass wraped was lighter, so i bought a glassfiber tank.

Tell them you will get a girl pregnant if they don't let you buy it.
If they say you still can't buy it, you still win, until you have a crying shits-itself baby to take care of.

Ninja tanks have a color coating that tends to crack. It doesn't affect the integrity of the tank. As long as you don't see the fibers unraveling underneath, it should be fine.

If fiberglass is lighter then why don't racecars get fiberglass spoilers instead of trying to be light and get carbon fiber spoilers?

Not if we never want to worry about ever damaging tanks, them being bulletproof, and wouldn't mind the $1k+ price tag, we could always convince people to switch to carbon nanotube tanks.

the reason why you hear ninja tanks breaking is just the shell surrounding the tank, cracking this does not skew wit the integrity of the tank

let me know if you find any good porn on it, always got room on the thumbdrive :-)
