But you said it was plastic.....?

brass eagle 12 gram co2 puncture screw thing ha. Im not sure what you would call it, Its the black plastic thing

?? which peace are you talking about the black peace that you screw in under the 12 gram is plastic, I thought you ment the peace that punctures the 12 gram on the powertube that is metal.

I meant the cap that when you screw it in, it forces the 12 gram up and punctures it.

oh ok that is plastic :D

i want to see a vid of it damn it :)

LMAO I will try to get a video of it when I finish, im going to try to use my parents sony HD camcorder so I can put it on
youtube in HD. I think I will be able to do it so keep praying

edit: sorry for not updateing yesterday I will try to update today, family came to visit and havent had time to upload pictures.

you know what would have been hilarious? If you made it hoseless. you could have shoved a shorty reg where the the 12 gram goes and drilled a hole where the screw to adjust the pressure is. then made a mock fore grip. It looks pretty awesome though im not gonna lie.

hmmm new talon project in the future? ;)

so I found the usb cord for my camera so I can finally get you guys some pictures and a update. Its all
starting to come together, still alot to do but it seems like the project is moving a steady rate which is good.
I got one of the hardest things done which is drilling out and threading the talons powertube, It can be tricky to do with
out a drill press mainly becuase you have to drill into a rounded peace of metal perfecally straight :P . It would have been alot
easyer if I was in school right now to do it because I have a drill press in all of my class's like auto and welding. I took my
time and it turned out perfect, the threading is really clean and the macroline fitting screwed in perfect. Oh and I also
went to my paintball shop today named the bunker. got all the fittings and macroline. I might not use my 68/45 on the talon just beacuse
the regualtor on the tank is much longer than a co2 tanks plain valve would be. It just seems really long without a drop on it and im useing
a asa that was ment for co2 tanks just like the palmers regulator, so i might use co2 on it instead. It would work just as good if not better
with the palmers so im still happy. I havent got any JB weld yet I will try to get some tomorrow to mount the remote lines on/off and I
have to fill in the hole were the 12 gram pericing screw was. I drilled it all the way out and will seal it shut. I think thats it, heres the pictures-

Heres a picture of the powertube being threaded (I take pictures on my deck beacause it has good lighting, I dont work there :D )

cleaned all the metal dust and shavings out and put it back together, I red locktighted that random screw. Don't know what
it was for, but I dont want it leaking and I dont need it. The hole were my thumb is is going to be filled with jb weld. thats
were the 12 gram piearceing screw was.

not sure with the stiffi and palmers.... I just had those lying around my room and decided to use them. Its been awhile since i bought those but I think
the stiffi was around $100, the nickle dust palmers reg was like 120 when I bought it beacuse it got it in nickle and dust. IDK what the prices are now. Im only spending
60$ to build this. so far Iv only bought the talon and macroline fitting with macroline.

edit: I havent put the stiffi on yet but It will be soon if you did not know since you just saw it, check the other updates I mention it there

nice touch with the black fittings. you should paint it grey or silver with red accent pieces. 10 points for whoever gets the reference.

This gun comes as a pump so...
How great would it be to mount an autococker kit on it
It may be a bit more than you intended to spend on the project but imagine showing it off at your local field!
And plus!, when you decide to retire the gun, you can just take the kit off and put it on a respectable pump gun to make a nice autococker...

(I don't know much about autocockers or how to make them so you can take my opinion for what its worth)

thanks and that color choice is nice, I might use it. What do you mean 10 points for whoever gets reference?

there is a way it would jist cost me alot of money to have a machine shop do it. they can make a sand mold of the
talon halves and pour the molds full of aluminum at the foundery. then have a cnc machine mill them out for the talons
internals but I cant amagine how much this would cost. I was in machine shop class at my school and I got to do things like that,
I got an A+ but to program the cnc machine you need to be in a really high math class and be in there like all week to learn how.
atleast thats what the teacher said, so I cant do it at my school for free <_<

well iv never owned a autococker or a pump (no joke people I wish I did but I never bought one) so I have no clue how that would fit.

I think that random screw might be some type of velocity adjuster for when u r using a 12gram

... Screw it out lets more air get to the valve so there for a higher velocity but I could be wrong

Same here, I was so tempted that I got one and I'm going to try and mod it.
Right now I live in Germany and I'm visiting friends and family in the States. There are no Walmarts in Germany so I just bought a Talon at Walmart today and when I get back to Germany in a week I'm going to try and mod it.Posted Image

Logitech, now you just need to find a way to detach the stupid plastic barrel and attach an Autococker barrel. That would be sick!

Furthermore, Jderrill, there used to be a manufactured product called an Autotracer kit. It was made by WGP and there are still some wandering around, even with pneumatics. Look over at MCB for Dan Bacci's gun liquidation sale. He has kits with and without pneus.

cleaned all the metal dust and shavings out and put it back together, I red locktighted that random screw. Don't know what
it was for, but I dont want it leaking and I dont need it. The hole were my thumb is is going to be filled with jb weld. thats
were the 12 gram piearceing screw was.

I think that random screw might be some type of velocity adjuster for when u r using a 12gram

... Screw it out lets more air get to the valve so there for a higher velocity but I could be wrong

I think it is a manufacturing hole (very common), a hole that exists to allow further machining of the product. In this case I think it exists to allow for a hole to be drilled through the casting from the 12g pierce pin to the valve. The casting is bored out for the pierce pin and the valve but as the casting is a solid piece a tube must be drilled from one to the other, as there is no clear easy path for the drill to take they have to make a hole and then seal it later (usually with a screw). There are a bunch of holes on my Zeus like this and I'm sure that there are other markers like this (especially the cheaper ones that are milled from a solid block of metal).

Personally I think that excessive use of these kinds of holes are a sign of a sloppy design, but sometimes you have no choice and have to use them, the more clever designers find ways to hide these holes.

Furthermore, Jderrill, there used to be a manufactured product called an Autotracer kit. It was made by WGP and there are still some wandering around, even with pneumatics. Look over at MCB for Dan Bacci's gun liquidation sale. He has kits with and without pneus.

come on. why buy what you can make? ;)

I was just letting you know. I made my own, because I didn't want an extra 4 pounds that the kit adds.
