In one of Mike's videos, I believe I heard either Isaac or Mike mention something about one being able to get colored engraving done in the near future at Kohn's. I have a couple questions to make myself, as well as others, more knowledgeable about this new upcoming service you guys are offering.

- What colors will you be offering?

- What will this colored engraving resemble when on the gun?
Will it resemble a color mask, but in a different color than the gun. Or will it more of a faint colored overlay? OR will the engraving be a full-fledged color overlay?

- If there are scratches in the original anodizing, will this colored 'lasering' cover it up, or at least reduce the visual pain of seeing the scratch?

(When these questions are answered, I will edit this original post so that the information is quickly accessible)(More pertinent questions will be added)

EKKsolidier -

They will be offering hopefully in the near future a black option for your laser pattern. They are currently working with the laser company for more details and they want to do a few test runs to make sure they get the process correct. So black and the silver whitish color will be the only colors available.

The process of lasering is to remove the anno from the gun, so that all remains is the true metal color. So with the black it will be similar but will have to have something burned onto the surface for the black coloring.

The scratches will be come part of the laser pattern if close enough. The laser does not add anything all it does is remove the anno from the metal so all you see is the bare metal. So yes it is a very good option to cover up or more exact hide or disguise the scratches and make them much less noticeable.

I hope this answers your current questions. We will be there at Cup and you can ask more questions there.

All so we will be getting in to annoing the first of the year and chemistry says that annodizing wont stick to annodizing so we can laser a red gun and theoretically annodize it blue and the blue annodizing will wipe off the parts of the gun that are still red and leave you with a laser pattern that comes out blue. We are not sure of that yet we want to get the stuff in and try it and see for our selves before we start to advertise it so keep in touch with us and we will keep everyone updated as things progress.

Im a local so getting updates on kohns lasering and anodizing shouldn't be too hard, this thread is mainly for informative purposes for others.

Im guessing this lasering onto an anno-on-anno gun will take quite a bit of practice. If you guys need a gun to practice on, Im willing to give my gun and anno request for a discounted price

Willie or Mike could one of you guys keep us updated as to when they get black lasering available? I check their site khonsports.com (right?) and I can't load it for some reason.

I want black "F*ck those guys" on my orange Mini, I think that would look very sharp!

Damn... I guess this means there isn't much for me to have done in the way of a Pink Lady ego...

soon, hopefully...

which leads me to the question, how well does silver show on white?
