In case you dont know 20mm's are fucking cannons
Heres the helmet I plan on using, Im keeping the red star an painting the green black
What I started with:
Then I drilled them out to 3/16 using a drill press, unfortuneatly I had to eye-ball so you can tell some aren't 100% dead center
Then I hit a snag, I was tapping one of them and since I drilled rather small I had to muscle the points through the steel and well.....it kind of broke and tried to take it out but failed miserably I really only need two and have eight but it still sucks, because it was one of the few that was damn near center and I could have used it in the future.
Oh well, I got to sanding down the ones I'd be using so I can paint them better and clean them up a bit and they came out pretty cool on their own, silver bullet style.
But thats it for my first day of working on it, anyone have suggestions and how I can go about doing a better tap job? I mean I worked my way about half way through till it broke, but it wasnt easy since it is a hand tool and cutting through steel isn't easy to begin with.
