Hmm I really can't see this being very practical. Of course it would be woodsball and scenario only, I can never see a speedball player using this on the field. I think it would feel very awkward having to hold the marker down by your waist and squeezing the tube for the paint to come out. It also looks pretty easy for balls to fall out, especially if that strap comes loose.

A lot of scenario players use vest, anybody know if they compatible with vests at all?

How can you dive with that thing on? Wouldn't you bust up all your paint?

Crush proof maybe...but over a span that long I'm not sure...

-Tenacious

Oh yeah, roll on your back and you have a whole case worth of nasty paint dripping out like soup. If that strap comes loose and you are up on one knee, I can see all of the paint just rolling out.

I am considering picking one up... specially since one of the fields I play at has a 2 pods, one hopper paint limit. This is technically a podless system, so I will have a case of paint when everyone else has 500 rounds lol.

No really this is pretty cool, as long as it doesn't blend paint.
There's two kinds of people in this world when you boil it all down. You got your talkers and you got your doers. Most people are just talkers, all they do is talk. But when it is all said and done, it's the doers that change this world. And when they do that, they change us, and that's why we never forget them. So which one are you? Do you just talk about it, or do you stand up and do something about it?

I agree. I don't see this catching on at all for a few reasons. One, like Tenacious pointed out, it looks like laying down or rolling would crush your paint. One broken ball (either from being shot or from pressure) even near the mouth is gonna get paint on all the other balls on their way out.

Secondly, it looks like you would waste a lot of paint because you can't see into the hopper as well when filling. So you are very likely to overfill your hopper and loose paint. Also, it seems like you would have to tip your hopper backwards to allow the balls to fall into it correctly, which means you're not getting a full hopper full.

Thirdly, if you are under fire, you have to hide so that you can bring your gun down to your hip and reload. You can't reload and fire back at the same time.

Lastly, like Kahnif mentioned, most scenario players use vests for other things, like tanks, tool pockets, ID pouches, grenade pouches, holsters, etc. This doesn't look very compatible vests, especially those that aren't modular in design.

The only people that I can see making good use of this are heavy gunners, people that use quadzillas, and people using stationary guns.

I think it is a nice idea, but impractical. When that thing is half full, the paint is going to slosh around a lot. If you are a stealth player, this will not work for you, and all that sloshing around might break paint.

It looks cool. But I agree it has some issues.
The great players don't have time to bicker about which is better: Speedball or Woodsball. They just play both.

The more I think about it, the less practical it seems. Pods are just so convenient, and I don't know how often I stay posted up on someone, while reloading. This would FORCE me to take my gun down to reload. Plus you wouldn't be able to get a trade out if someone tried to bunker you.

I have seen it before in person, the tubes that the paints sit in are crush proof, when it's half full it makes half the noise of a half full pod. You can use this from any position also. The materials mute noise. Also even with the velcro stap unhooked, the paint balls will not fall out, it's a great invention, hey if you need to throw your buddy a pod, just carry one with you. Very cool.

lol, I know right. $60 is a pretty decent price and a really cool idea and looks sick for woodsball but it does not look practical for speedball. It also looks silly and the fact that the open spout kinda looks like a vag. lmaooo

How would you reload if you are laying down?

It's nifty, but in the end, of very limited use. It might be a lot better if it could somehow include a few pod slots (maybe in the front, like a tactical vest), so you could use pods to reload when you're in awkward positions, and the new thing to reload other times.

nope website says $60, and why are all the speedballers complaining, this was nEVER invented for speedball, just woods and scenario and this is insanely practical for scenario. generaly u spend more time in a bunker during those games and that gives u plenty of time to reload, and plus u can carry more paint than most packs offer, also safer: pods fall out and u lose em; this is crush-proof and u cant lose it (its on ur back)...

MADE FOR WOODS/SCENARIO, SPEEDBALLERS DONT COMPLAIN!!

I dont think I've ever seen someone do a dive in the woods personally. A superman dive in the woods? That's a pretty easy way to kill yourself (impalement)

I picked one of these up yesterday and I can't wait to use it. Its so bad ass

The one I got holds 1600 rounds
you never lose a pod again in the woods
Opens up the fun of games of being the paint mule / refueler at scenario games, kinda like the "refueler" with airplanes

Really neat idea, I can see this Medusa Pack developing into something really bad ass over the years!

Hey mike, do some testing, like a quick roll on it while wearing it, with paint of course.. or shooting at it, from varying ranges... i want to know how this thing deals with protecting paint. :)
