No way man, 98c ALL THE WAY!
Naww, go for the Sp1. Woodsball gun of the year, Mike likes it, I like it, everyone on TechPB will vote SP1 over 98c 95% of the time. You can't go wrong with the SP1.

Not that I am aware of.... at least not like a Tippman custom mod options....

you would have to get some high-end custom modding to get the mod you are looking for with regards to the Sp-1.

I think that should be easy enough to find. Let me look and see if I can find anything. Search for Sp1 (or Sp-1) as well on the forum and you should get a number of threads with discussions on it. Most of the SP1 owners on here are quiet helpful and very proud of their marker.....

You can get those for the SP1.

If your really serious about the SP-1 be sure to get the blackheart. It's about $50 cheeper. Than getting a stock and adding the blackheat later.
You can put lights, sights, bypods, stocks, its just as customizeable as any other paintball gun out there.
And this is the second year that Techpb has awarded it woods ball / scenario gun of the year.

You can put aftermarket bolts but the stock bolt is a low force bolt and you can stick your toung in it and fire it and it will touch your toung but not hurt it. So you will never have a breach break, plus with the blackheart board you get lazer eyes too.

Its just so bad a paintball shooter, I bought a bt apex barrel from my friend faux12 for my sp-1 can't wait to try it out.

Your 98c is a great little paintball shooter but its old technology, all be good. Use it for a back up and a lowner when you get your friends to try paintball.

Oh and the sp-1 is highly water resistant. There are videos of players throwing it into a cold stream and picking it out of the water and shooting it.
It is an awsom paintball gun. I highly recomend it, another plus it is able to compete with all the other high end guns. You can not go wrong.
Oh and the regulator is the same as is on the Lux. how bout that.

it kinda depends on your playing style
i'm pritty fit and i can get to places quick... real quick

i while back i had an a5, it was a muckaround day at the feild and my freind lent me his tiberius 8 pistol for a few games, so i stripped down to my shorts and white singlet and sprinted off into the game with the gun my mask and two extra magazines, thats 24 paintballs

we had 2 teams of 10, and i took out 6 of that team with the t8 and 24 paintballs, before getting hit out,
it was a freaky light set up!!! it was insane!!! i loved it i could actualy do a full sprint and then flip around like a crazy bugger

so i bought the gun off him and thats all i use now

i play alot more speedball so my main setup is a vice with a 68/4500 and a rotor but for woodsball TIBERIUS 8 FTW!!!!!!!!!

GET A T8!!! THEY ARE BADASS!!!! and you can use the new tiberius first strike rounds so YOU CAN OUT RANGE ANY FLATLINE OR APEX WITH A PISTOL!!!!
!CANT STOP THIS!

Will you tell us where you got your aftermarket parts. Very clean mod.
I am espically interested in the for stock add on's.
I love my sp-1, and am looking forward to the next generation of it.

The majority of it was bought on RAP4, they have a massive selection of milsim stuff. Nothing had to be cut or glued to fit the gun*, they all attach to the various rails and attach points the marker has. Be warned there are two standard pictanny rail system sizes and I think the SP1 is the larger of the two. As for the stock, it's meant for a tippmann 98 but SmartParts sell an adapter to allow it to fit. Or alternatively RAP4 have a stock that is dedicated to the SP1. The torch is just a maglite, get that anywhere.

* Except for the adapter which was poor quality, if you lucky you won't have to cut it.

I have the butt stock that came with mine. What I ment was the fore stock above the bipod. I like the look of the forstock insted of the rails.

Does it have to be a "woodsball gun" because my DM8 or the ego9 Im getting soon will outshoot all of thses guns, they are also lighter and tighter than the 98c and more reliable and lighter and tigher than the SP-1.But if it HAS to be either the 98c or an SP-1 then get the SP-1 hands down, lighter faster and just a better all around gun than the 98c.

Well, Blastman, there's also a good chunk of change in the price difference there. So I really wouldn't even bring those to this conversation. :)

For me, I love my stock SP1 because of it's ability to use CO2. It's also a much smoother and quieter shot than a 98. I've used them both extensively, and the 98 is my fallback for my modding, but the SP1 is my main marker whenever my HPA runs out. And sometimes even when it doesn't. ;)

Is a T9 to expensive, because those things with first strike rounds=godlyness, and it has a cool sniper look thing if you get the rnager version I think it is.

I suggest you get a stock sp-1 then get a blackheart separate just so you can have a backup board in case the blackheart explodes or something

As said before, the SP1 would be the best. The Smart Parts Vibe is the exact same internally only it has a bouble trigger and is much lighter, it also costs $25 less. The Vibe is a "speedball gun" so it would also work very well in speedball (obviously).
