I recently had a break in the chamber... So I took the gun apart, wiped the bolt clean with damp cloth, cleaned eyes etc.

At the moment i don't have any lube, but the bolt and chamber still feels oily.
Is it necessary for me to go get lube or will the marker be fine?

Regards

Stock dwell is set for 14ms, except for the first shop it kicks it up to 16ms to offset fsdo.

I'd get lube anyways. Spoolies are lube hungry, and it'd be best to be safe than sorry.

I just bought a can of hater Marmalade and it is probably the best lube I've ever used. I love it. I lubed my gun before play today, ran about a case and four pods through it, and its still just as lubed inside as it was before play earlier today.

Check out these grips that I'm going to be selling packaged with the APE OLED board, when my teams online "G3 store" is up and running in a few days.

These pictures turned out terrible because they were taken at night, and I couldn't get the lighting just right. Plus, they were taken with my cell phone, so the quality sucks anyway. I'll take some better ones tomorrow, and post them up.

These pictures turned out so bad, that I think the initial rendering may actually look better:

I know the pictures didn't turn out great, but what do you think about the grips? Definitely better than the "Rampage" grips that come with the OLED board when you buy it directly from APE.

I think the placement of Dangerous Power needs to be moved up some. Don't like how it looks when looking at the bottom and it's angled because of how the bottom is cut.

I think it looks wicked. If we could figure out a way to make it green, it'd be perfect.

Here's my dilemma, boys. I'm thinking about trading in my G3 for the new Fusion when it comes out. I've only got enough feasible room in my collection for a single electro, and I want that Fusion.

Or I could sell a couple Tippmanns and build a rocket launcher for someone. What do you guys think? What part of my collection should go so that I can afford a Fusion? Keep in mind that if anyone suggests either the WarpCocker or the Z-Mag, I will have to track you down and hang you by the testicles from a set of energized jumper cables dangling over the nearest gorge.

The grip panels would need to be green to match my marker. Which would mean I might have to change the color of the electrical storm behind it. My sister's an artist, do you mind if I give her your pattern to modify for my application?

I didn't mean give me a G3, lol, just a random cheap-ish electro you haven't used in a while. Broken is fine, gives me more experience with teching markers, which is what I need.

Yeah I really want the TBO trigger, the Ape OLED Board, and the bolt engine for my G3. But when I play recball only, and my stock G3 works fine, I can't really justify spending $230+ in upgrades.

I can't either, but I try and do it anyway. But then I look at my checking account and notice that I've just spend $325 on a transmission rebuild kit (or whatever it happens to be), and there's no way in hell I can afford an ICE Epic this week.

Tell me about it. I got a quote from a transmission guy to do the work, and he gave me a $1,700 starting price. And that only included replacing the things that needed replacing. All told, it would have come closer to $2,200.

I spent $325 on a kit, $20 on fluid, and $40 on a cable I found to be broken. So not only did I save more than $1,800, but I also replaced every soft part, in there, not just what was worn out.

Still, that's more than I really need to be spending. Luckily the project will soon be complete, which means I'll be able to drive it around and sell the car I'm using now. That'll pay off a few bills, and hopefully have enough left over to have some fun with.

Well, you guys may think you can't afford one, but don't underestimate my willingness to hook up my fellow members of the G3 owners club.

I'm going to be posting up an online "G3 store" where my team can sell G3s, G3 parts, and G3 accesories that we no longer use. We'll also be selling brand new stuff that we get from our sponsors (DP and APE).

I'll be more than happy to make sure that you guys get hooked up with anything you want at our cost.

When I get the store posted online in a few days, I'll post back here and let you know.

Yeah dude, my step dad and I replaced the tranny on his '93 suburban, cost him $800 for the rebuild and we put it in ourselves, the guy wanted another grand to put it in.

I'm the same way.......I prefer to buy stuff new. But I won't sell anything unless it's in 100% perfect working condition.

For example, I'm taking all of the APE Gen4 boards out of our G3s so I can install the APE OLED boards. I'm going to take those working APE boards out of our G3s and sell them for $45 with free shipping and no sales tax.

I want to sell our stuff cheap, and help out Fellow G3 users, or people who want to become a G3 user.

Sweet man, I'm not usually a fan of used gear (I like getting something new, that way I can maintain it myself) but since its your team thats doing this, I think I could go for it.

I am interested in that, hit me up in PM and I'll give you my number so we can talk more about it

Okay, so here is the final product for my grips:

Just made them in the garage, the finish is still drying so they can't be on my gun until tomorrow night..

What kinda wood did you use?

Having gear the pros use doesn't make you a pro.

It was just thin cut plywood from home depot. I used a red mahogany wood coating and then a polyeurothane(sp?) outer coat

And I used a counter sinking drill bit to make the holes

Now I'm tempted to 1-up you and go get me a set of Hogue wood grips. I've got a set on my Ruger Blackhawk, and I absolutely love them.

Lmao, Well you won't be 1-Upping me because I'm going to be getting some honduran mahogany out of my shed sometime this week to make my buddy's birthday present- grips for his new Vice.

The wood costs about $50/sq. ft lol. I didn't use it earlier because I figured my dad would have a shit fit if I used it, but when I finished the ones pictured above, he goes "why didn't you use that nice mahogany in the shed? I need to get rid of it!"

It's one of the hardest woods on the planet.
