I really want to go play speedball!!! I will be going in a few weeks and I was wondering what paintball pants to purchase. What ones are the best in the 40-65 dollar range? Are the proto pants comfortable?

Also are they a must have to speed ball? Or can you swing it without them?

You can do just fine with some knee pads and jeans. Paintball pants are good and all, but you don't need them.

i used to use normal pants but then they started to get ripped to peices so i got some paintball pants so i didnt have to go through a pair of pants every month

proto pants are good pants for the price but any pair of paintball pants will do the job, some have more padding, some look a bit coller, its mostly just prefecence
!CANT STOP THIS!

HELL YEAH the jt pants are comfortable! I got the 09 red team pants and they are super cool too; plus extra crotch padding and pockets that are deep so they dont spill.

I would go with the Valken line. They've got pants for just about any price point. I'm getting a pair myself and I should get 'em sometime this weekend. Protos are good as well and I have a pair of '08s. They are extremely durable and fantastic construction, padding where you need it, everything is great, except the pockets on them suck.

used pants are also a choice too. I've never owned a new pair. I actually have a spare pair of ravens that I wouldnt mind parting with in like 28-32 waist, not much padding but wont rip up even sliding on rocks.

Just don't get cheap paintball pants... they rip out REALLY fast. Heck I have destroyed $100 dye pants in a season... the cheap pairs last me maybe a month.

There are several things I NEVER skimp on in paintball.

-Elbow Pads
-Pants/Knee Pads
-Mask

I need those 3 things to keep me in the game and not getting all bashed up. Everything else, like gun and paint is just add-ons.
There's two kinds of people in this world when you boil it all down. You got your talkers and you got your doers. Most people are just talkers, all they do is talk. But when it is all said and done, it's the doers that change this world. And when they do that, they change us, and that's why we never forget them. So which one are you? Do you just talk about it, or do you stand up and do something about it?

I have a pair of Angel Airtime pants, got them cheap off ebay. Great ventilation, nice padding. The point of having PB pants is the durability, padding & ventilation. They are designed for the sport/player. Style, brand and price range is up to you. You can get a good deal on older (meaning release year) on some high end brands.
