So my local field is a terrible place, woodchips for a playing surface, bunkers are hardly inflated, staff lack the proper education, etc. Should I continue to go there as it is closer, and spend about 70 for a case/all day air/entry, or go to a farther away field with better players/bunkers/grass that is a 30 minute drive? Stupid question perhaps, but I would like an answer.

30 minute drive aint shit... If its a better field with better players and staff, definately go there... There are people here that have to drive even ALOT farther than that just to play for a day...

I'd go to the place 30 minutes away. It sounds like it would be worth the drive.

30min away is totally worth it for having a better time playing. Hell a few hours is worth it for a good day of paintball.

I have to drive 2 hours to get to an official field. To play a woodsball field I usually have to drive an hour. Once a month we have a game 15 mins away from me, but thats only 1 time a month and I play every weekend.

Just curious... Do you live in NM? Because that sounds just like a couple fields in the Albuquerque area...

Its not so much about the travel, its about the players go to were ever it is that the best players play, you'll learn twice as quick. I got shot up so bad my first season most guys didn't think i'd last but the next season it was the other way around, because i learned from the best around
