hey, ive been skiing for about 5 years now.. sadly still having to rent stuff.. ffrage
Got myself a new jacket last year, cost a pretty penny, but i love it. North Face Emersion, its like a work of art..
Still trying to find some nice pants and gloves..

I tend to dabble in the terrian/jumps park.. but no jumps, i have yet to work out a nice balance for skiing.. plus there isnt much powder here..

Almost got the chance to go to a nice resort in Canada, but school got in the way..i hope I can get a chance to go up there.. I love snow.
Posted Image
Its not that acute of an angle, the photo was taken from a lower angle, person is shorter also... perspective changes..
havent really been to too many GREAT places, we mostly go to like Shawnee and Camelback.. other then like Hunter Mountain, those are pretty close to us in NYC..

ill throw in some more pics i guess..

hmm, im thinking about the North face freedon insulated pants.. (not a TNF whore, but like their designs, and material choices sometimes)

Do you mean like leather work or dress styled gloves, or ones with a leather palm?
ive tried a couple different gloves ATM, none has stuck soo far, i value dexterity, very highly. thats my issues, plus i have a glove size thats somehwere between medium and large...some meds fit, some dont, and then large has too much extra material in front..

mostly i skii in around 30 degree weather..it dips to like 20 average at night..

We got 13 on the slopes yesterday, but unless you have a hellicopter than you aren't getting into anything good. Alyeska doesn't open up until november, or until they have atleast 4 feet at the base.

I rode last weekend, pretty nice but didn't get a lot of runs in, it was way too cold.

Might take a snowmachine out this weekend and find some powder to ride in.

Location listed as Alaska.

I actually like it when it gets super cold. Keeps some of the fools off the hill, and only the hard core stick around.

Of course, I don't know what kind of temps your talking about. For me "super cold" is right about -20* Fahrenheit.

It wasn't just the cold, -20 was around what we were at, but the winds were hitting around 90 mph and it would literally stop you.

on my mountian we spent another million on snow guns for this year. We arguably have the ballsiest and hardest working snowmaking in the east coast at sunday river. We have already made snow for test firing a week back.

Mervin isn't really popular around here, and i'm really not sure why.

I see a shit ton of Burton, Rossignol, K2, and a few other brands, but the last time I went out I swear I was the only person riding a Mervin deck. Love the DK model, it's like the rider choice but a tad stiffer, works for me when Im bombing down the hill.

No park for me though, I ride big mountain - steep and deep if you might.

Mervin is very popular around here along with burton, capita, and never summer. Only the toughest boards survive the harsh ice coast. As far as my riding and skiing style I like doing everything. Bumps, trees, park, pipe but out of all those riding in the trees an riding off the backside and hucking cliffs is where its all at.

I wish we had that in the east coast. There is tuckermans but its nothing of that scale and the gorge at the bottom is pretty sketchy. Snow covers the top of it and you ski right over it.
