Alright, I have gotten TONS of questions on how to properly play wmv files on a macintosh. It's VERY easy, here is what you do-

Windows Media® Components for QuickTime, by Flip4Mac™, you can play Windows Media files (.wma and .wmv) directly in QuickTime Player and view Windows Media content on the Internet using a Web browser.

http://www.flip4mac....mv_upgrades.htm

Winamp plays the files, and Quicktime plays it with the free upgrades above. Hope this helps!

Awesome video Mike. As a cocker enthusiast, I can easily say that you nailed everything.

About the Superbolts... that is very, very interesting. The superbolts look great, much like the Dye Ultralite cocker... could they really be that similar though?

It\'s insane to think that a $1200 dollar gun is now being made and sold for less than $100 brand new!

Very cool ending. Hmmm.... superbolts... I may have to buy one.

sorry to link but check these stock pictures.

Sweet show Mike! It's pretty hard to cover the Autococker to the fullest extent, but you did a very good job in regards to getting guys who just wanna PLAY with their 'cocker, and not worry about their operating pressure, spring combo, etc. And wow I've never heard of that pushing against the back block thing, to check your LPR pressure. I posted how I sweetspot the LPR on a cocker on the youtube version of this vid btw and if anyone's interested.

It's true they're not more accurate than say an Ego/Timmy, Marq, DM, and all that stuff. I think that myth came about from the early 90's when all you could really compare them to were like Tippmann's, Spyders and Mags. They definitely shot smoother and more consistent than those guns, and with the majority of Autococker owners of those days being tournament players (due to their high price tag) those guys were probably more knowledgeable with their guns, and kept them maintained and cleaned better than a recreational player.

That's my theory on how that myth came about, other than them being the only closed bolt semi, and that whole schpeel...
"I don't always shoot Spool Valves, but when I do, I prefer the Geo2" (The Most Interesting Man In The World)

"All the angles are at angles, there's a bumper inside the bumper, and the reg is completely air flow, flowing air faster in two different directions...and then they cross eachother. The bolt kinda like an Eclipse, it's just a keets-a-bobble. There's always varr-ubles, and you've gotta remember, uhh...there's always varr-ubles" (Bob Long in the G6R Video)

Nice vid I just wish you gave it a little more credit and showed it shooting, wouldnt have been blazing fast or anything but still cool and it would show full stroking is important, but other than that its a nice breakdown of what an autococker is.

Oh yeah and...YOU DIDNT SWEET SPOT THE REG!!! LOL

Nice vid Mike, had a couple things I wanted to correct you on though (yeah I'm a nitpicker)

you called the pump rod the cocking rod on disassembly, just wanted to clarify the difference. The pump rod is what the ram is attached to and actually pumps the back block. The cock rod is what the back block catches to cock the gun and is attached to hammer.

You also mentioned the port on the bottom on the front block is used to show the lpr pressure. This is incorrect, that port is also used to show the main input pressure. The only way I know of to see the lpr pressure is to attach an external gauge to the 3-way hose.

I also wanted to mention the rod attached to the 3-way is called the timing rod.

I also never had to pre-cock my cockers before?? Maybe it's from a too strong hammer spring and not strong enough valve spring that yours shoots air out?

Anyway great vid, I really liked how you simplified the timing and made it very easy for beginners!

If you ever want to add more detail to the video I would suggest showing people how to remove the 3-way, lpr, and ram etc, which is one of the more tricky things to do, especially when you have those huge 3-way noids from planet eclipse, and everything is in your way of screwing it in or out! Might want to show some tricks on how to replace the small 3-way hosing which is one of the more common things to wear out on cockers.

Im doing an intro to Marketing course right now, and they say the starting point for consumer price setting is the rule of 8. So you take the cost of development plus the cost of manufacturing and multiply by 8....... Kind of sucks, but that is intended to cover other operating costs of a company. I think most companies operating in todays economy are using the rule of 15!!!

I was taught something similar, the "Law of Doubles".

In my experience though (electrical engineer 10+ yrs) it really depends on each market's competition at every level.

For example, we might spend $5 on parts to build our customer a $10 circuit board because the electronic assembly business is very competitive. Our customer will turn around and sell it for $600 because they're in a new market with ignorant consumers that are willing to pay. If they did everything correctly our customer will recoup the design and development money within the first quarter.

After that is just glorious profits... Until their competition grows, and they have to reduce price and profits... Then start cutting fat.. Then sell a cocker for only $100... etc.. :P
