I was just wondering since a ton of people are taking older models of guns (i.e. the first Etek or a Ego 5) and saying that they are $300 guns. Personally, I think $300 guns should be brand new and be lower end. So I'm asking you guys, what do you think a $300 gun is?

I consider a "300 dollar gun" a gun that retails for 300 or less. People can get very very lucky and pick up a used 07 Ego for 300, but it's still not a 300 dollar gun.

Honestly... like you said. A $300 imo would be a new gun, but in the other threads they were specified as used or new, so there would be a possibility of getting those guns for around $300... or so they say.

This is a serious question...... right?

A used gun for an unreasonable price defeats the purpose of this argument. But if it's something like a DM4 (for instance, I don't know the current prices) that regularly sells for $300, then that seems legit enough.

To be a $300 gun it has to cost from 275 to 400 dollars when it's first released and have good performance, otherwise it's called an Ion. Ohhh snap; I made a funny. :D

Yes it is serious, but I'm asking because I've never heard of someone that's brand new to paintballing buying an old Ego or DM. And I was just wondering if the $300 dollar gun forum should only stick with guns manufactured now.

I think it can be new or used. you just have to be able to get it for $300. Mike listed the F8 as a canidate, and it's $400ish new, so he was refering to used.

Anything that you can managed to buy for $300 or less
Just because a gun started out at 1000 bucks, if you could get it for $300, why should it be excluded?

I highly doubt that.
My sig was edited / removed because it was not within the rules. Images used in signatures are to be less then Width of 600px, and height of 160px. Only ONE image is aloud in the signature, and it must be 30k or less. Only 5 lines of text are aloud. No text larger then size 2 is aloud in the signature.

My image was over 30k, My text was too big, I didn't read the rules but I want to become a mod anyway? :)

A brand new gun that retails for $300, or an older model gun where the AVERAGE used (or new) price is $300 bucks. Just don't BS these prices.
