Buying used will save you money, and you'll be able to resell at a later date for about what you paid for it vs. buying new and losing hundreds in depreciation. I suggest a used bob long intimidator, they're easy to maintain, and have all the features of todays guns.

I totally agree, although buying a new gun assures you that it works perfectly and everything, buying used can be a big money saver.

for sure. a used gen3 or gen4 timmy will rock out with the best of them.
The ultimate truth in paintball is that the interaction between the gun and the player is far and away the largest factor in accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

And yes, Gordon is the sexiest manifestation of "to the front."

used is a great option for getting a good gun for cheap. you just need to know what to look for so you dont get a broken gun.

Agreed, buy local if you can. That way you should get a better feel for how the gun was treated before you buy it, and to make sure all is working.

best guns for 300 are used Gen3/4 timmies, Star Framed 05 Egos, and PM7's, and after cup, maybe DM6's?

I could not agree more, Do a little hunting on the internet you'd be amazed what kind of deals you can get, I'm currently shooting an up'd NXT shocker, Virtue board/Dye UL/Smart parts rail/CP ASA/Q-locking feedneck. Bought it LNIB for $400 cash. If i had bought all of that new, i would have easily spent over $1000.

Most the stuff I own is used. Especially when you buy guns that have awful resale value is when you save the most. Totally up'd ions would be a prime example. Shoot great, but you won't find one more than 300 unless the things got rims.

Used guns are the way to go. They can come pretty cheap in good condition many times with ups.

True statement, never really thought about it hard until now but yeah on a tight budget for a gun you can get some really nice stuff used! Gen4/Gen3 timmies definitely still amazing in my books, same thing for an old DM (my favorite ones, could care less for the character-lacking dm9)

The only problem is that if you are a budget baller, you can't afford to pay for a gun and have it arrive and not work, or have it break down without knowing how to fix it.

Buy locally if you're on a budget, so you can see condition and functionality in person. Also, if you run into problems, odds are the seller may be able to help in the future.

oldschool play is about sportsmanship and respect, oldschool gear is available on Ebay.

I spent less on my 06 Minion and Quest together than I did on my PMR with upgrades! The best way to get a great condition used gun is to make friends with a dealer and then buy "show room" models. They've had plenty of paint through them but never actually played with and serviced by techs!

Here is my tactic. There are some people at my field who are excellent paintballers, and win tournaments regularly. They get free guns from sponsors and/or winning tourneys. They have sick guns already, so they sell them mad cheap new. Its how I got my Invert Mini brand spankin new for two fitty
