noone else???

I would have to think there are not many soccer players/fans on this forum. Maybe a few casual fans, but I am far from casual :D. Especially with the World Cup in a few months, man I cannot wait. Every time I see the commercial on ESPN I get goosebumps.

Hopefully my England boys have a good World Cup..

Fabio Capello is definately leading us in the right direction.

And on another note I must say.. Excellent showing by Everton, I can't stand Man. U. :D

Stuttgart walked away with a point against Barca today in the Champions League. Anybody other than me watch the game?
Barca looked very sloppy the whole first half. It seemed like once Guardiola took out Ya Ya, dropped Iniesta into the mid and put Henry into a striker position, they began to look like the Barca we are use to seeing. With the next leg at the Nou Camp, I cant help but think Barca walk away from that game with a win.

Tomorrows round of the Champion League matches Chelsea v. Inter. Should be a great game, and as much as I despise Chelsea, I gotta think they walk away with a win.

When it comes to my soccer gear, I am a stern Adidas supporter (to point). All my gear is Adidas. I currently own these cleats:
Posted Image
Well, the previous version. My shin guards, cleats, socks, shorts, jersey, gear bag etc is all Adidas gear. The only thing I do not use Adidas for are my gloves, I play between the pipes. Every pair of Adidas gloves I have ever owned lost grip extremely quick. Too quick if you ask me. I currently have a pair of Lanzera, Reush, and Uhlsport gloves. The Reush and Uhlsport are meh, the Lanzera's are really nice. I have been wanting to try out Sells gloves, but I have not played consistently these past two years to wear out my other pairs, so I have no need for them.

Right now I have a pair of the white and blue Legend 3's that have been annihilated from my highschool's turf.

In a couple weeks I'm going to get some NikeID CTR360's for the upcoming club season.

I'm a Nike fan through and through. Every Adidas cleat I've owned gave me blisters.. You name it, Predators, F50.9's, and the OG Adipures..

They're good cleats but nothing beats the Legends and CTR360's :D

I have the problem the other way around O.o
Every nike pair i had always failed on me. I spend 55$ on a brand new pair of nike's and my right one broke within a month (the sole in the front came off lol) I taped it back up cause i wanted to get my moneys worth but then ma mum threw them out. I then bought a cheap pair of adidas for about 30 months and they lasted me all last summer + more
but i hope ill be able to buy some nice diadora boots soon 8) gotta support the italian companies!

Anyone watch the friendly between Brazil v Rep Ireland game today? Good game, although I expected more out of Brazil. That second goal was a beauty, the run by Robinho was awesome. Tomorrow we have the US v Netherlands at 2:30ET on ESPN2, and England v Egypt at 3:00ET on Fox Soccer Channel. I am taking a half day vacation from work to make it home to watch the game!! Hopefully it is not wasted by a poor showing from the yanks.

I bought some Copa's before I got the pair I currently am using. I had to return them however. The fit just wasn't right. I put them on, walked around in the back yard, jogged a little, but I just wasn't feeling it. My cousin loves them though. I honestly do not think he has used a different cleat in years.

Ugh what a poor showing by the yanks. Just a bad showing all the way around. Wesley Sneijder is a monster in the midfield. I swear, every play that the Dutch had going forward was started or ran through him. He was amazing. I could go on, but I will stop. I am not too happy, but hey, I got out of work early so I guess it wasn't too bad :D.

Good question. I am not really sure yet, as it is still very early in the tournament. You have to include Barca and Man U in at least making it to the semi's. If Chelsea can come back in the second leg against Inter and win on aggregate, they have to be considered as a favorite. Especially considering the form at which Inter is currently playing.

Anyone else getting reeaally tired of the whole "Tough guys don't play soccer" attitude? It's starting to piss me off. Someone I used to be friends with (for other reasons) even went as far as saying it's not a sport, guess what sport he plays, football believe it or not. Sorry, I would play football but I don't feel like wearing 10 pounds of gear, and then only playing 5 seconds at a time. Anyway, my practices have started.

I'm so glad I play center mid now, I hated being an outside mid. Run up and down the side of the field all game, and touch the ball like 3 times. No thanks. I love playing center mid because you kind of orchestrate the plays, and get a lot of time with the ball.

Every player I have ever played with, or spoken to has gone through this. I would simply tell them to try playing. I never had somebody tell me OK, because they know they would not last more than 5 minutes.

Big next two days in the Champions League. All times eastern, and all games will be shown on Fox Soccer Channel.

3/30/2010:

2:30pm - Lyon (France, Ligue 1) v Bordeaux (France, Ligue 1)

5:00pm - Bayern Muchen (Germany, Bundisliga) v Manchester United (England, English Premier League)

3/31/2010:

2:30pm - Arsenal (England, English Premier League) v Barcelona (Spain, La Liga)

5:00pm - Inter Milan (Italy, Serie A) v CSKA Moscow (Russia, Russian Premier League)

As much as I know I should be hitting the gym, I know my ass will be on the couch for the next two days after work, watching all four games!

What a game between Barca and Arsenal, WOW :o. For the first 65 minutes Barca was playing with them. It was almost embarrassing how much better Barca played. But then Walcott came on and got the momentum going in favor of Arsenal. Next thing you know, it is all tied up, Wow what a game. I was too tired to watch the Inter v Moscow game, I've been sick these last two days, so I skipped it, but saw that Inter walked away with a 1-0 win.
The next leg should be interesting. Arsenal without Cesc due to red card, he has a suspected broken leg so he wouldn't have played anyway. Also, Barca will be without Puyol and Pique at center back, due to red cards. So it should be very interesting.

Well I doubt anybody else watched the game, so that's my little recap of today's action.
