Yeah man take out the two screws and the rocked cock comes with ones and it bolts right on. Very easy, I like it because if you take a shot in the marker it dosn't fill your internals with paint. Some people thing it makes your gun quieter but i don't notice it.

I would assume its the same as polishing the internals of any other Tippmann product. Take everything out and shine the insides up with some super fine 1500 sandpaper or steel wool. I've attached a link to help you out.

http://www.a5og.net/...-internals.html

Its not too hard just make sure you don't take off too much if your using a dremel.

Glad to help you will like it. The only problem with it is if you have a stock on your marker it might get in the way a little bit. With my CAR stock i have to have it in the second position or i cant cock the gun.

Its different i will say that some people like it (like me) others don't the main reasons i use it are as follows.
1. It keeps the cocking handle inside so you don't smack your mask or whatever with the moving cocking handle
2. It keeps paint and debris out of the internals.
3. Some people say it makes my marker quieter
4. I like the look of it.

I'm not sure about the A5 because it uses the holes in the marker from the screw holes. I have never seen one on an A5 but that doesn't mean it wont fit.

Hay thanks for the link...it really helped, to anyone who wants to do this...do not be afraid, it it super easy..i used the wire wheel on my dremel to make quick work of the job ( no fear of removing too much material..its not gonna happen) after wire wheeling, just take 000 grade steel wool and go over it..then what i did was use a alunimum polish and the fiber wheel for the dremel or cloth buffer wheel (whatever you want to call it) and polish the channel....then take a paper towel and rubbing alcohol and clean the parts ( if you have stubborn corners use a 3m sanding pen, which is nothing more than fiberglass strands bunched up in a pen like caseing, which you can buy at a local autoparts store..also if you want you can use 600 grit sandpaper...try not the muscle down on the chanel...(wet or dry) then use 1500(wet or dry) then proceed with the polish and then the alcohol cleanup..after that take your marker oil and lightly lube the channel-bolt-powertube and reassemble and enjoy :)

The clicky pen mod is taking out the trigger spring and replacing it with a lighter faster spring.

Makes the trigger pull lighter in a RT or mech trigger.
Take a Bic click stic pen (the cheap ones that you get free at the bank or other retailer) and remove the spring off the ink cartridge. Remove the front trigger spring from you marker.
Measure against the clicky spring and cut to length.
Install new spring in marker.
Makes finding the RT "sweet spot" a lot easier.

Ok I gotta get in on this.. I am in love with MY 98C. I had an older one and bought a second on and transfered the ups to the new one and gave my son the other one..
List follows: 98 Custom W/ RT, Cyclon Feed, Rocket Cock, JCS Collapsible stock, 30 mm Red dot Scope, J&J Cermic barrel, Double Trigger, 2 Point Sling, Polished Intrnals, and Remote Coil. Love the beast. She is the BEST marker I have owned.

And I will be doing a Clickly pen upgrade soon.. Thanks for the info on that....

here is a vid of the clicky pen mod...my question is...
is it ok to replace the back spring (blue)with the red spring that was origionaly in the front, i know that guy did it on the video but it seems like a bad idea since the red spring is a bit shorter, and i would think that could cause damage or wear to the sear.

no, it does not cause any issue or an over wearing of parts that i have noticed after a year of heavy usage

cool..so the red spring is long enough to completely engage the seer then if replacing the origional blue rear spring, thanks :)

am i a diehard tippmann fan? yes. here's proof. Posted Image X7 upgrade list: Custom OD Green paintjob, E-grip with APE rampage board, Polished internals, Liberty CAR stock, JCS Red powertube \ hexagonal front bolt, Lapco 8" bigshot barrel, TechT complete cyclone upgrade ( vortex, lightning rod, QEPH (soon to be LAPCO QEPH), and squishy Paddles), shaved and smoothed ball detent, silent hopper mod, Bt Flashsight ( the standard picatinny mount is crap, get 25mm scope rings to fit it on the gun), KAC flip up sights, and NCstar 25mm red dot sight.

98 Pro Platinum upgrade list: Custom OD green paintjob, Polished internals, shaved and smoothed ball detent, ( soon to have rocket cock II, and I need a back for a 98C threading for my Hammerhead barrel).

Texas Cheezburgr I'm going to hold out on adding you to the clan because you might not be a tippmann owner for very long.

MasterMind88 You in lets see if you can get some pics up.
