I don't mean to hijack the thread but since vice owners will most likely look in here.

About how many shots can a vice get off a 68c 3k tank?

@ original post, Nice set up. I'm gonna get a vice soon

A 68/3000 holds 33% less air than a 68/4500, which is supposed to get you a case on a Vice. So, find out what 2/3 of 2000 is, and there's your theoretical answer.

aight thanks. From my rough guess, its about 1300-1400 shots

theoretically (math nerd i know) but 2/3 would be rounded to 660-670 so theoretically you would get 1340-1330 ish but i have honestly never shot a 68 30 si IDK

thanks for the comments

Im not sure the exact math behind this but...

I dont think that 3000 psi and 4500 psi flow through a gun the exact same way... Im willing to bet that less air escapes the gun at 3000 psi than 4500

The tank's reg brings the pressure down from 4500PSI or 3000PSI to 850PSI, 650PSI, or 450PSI. Then the HPR brings that down to whatever the operating pressure of a Vice is (and the LPR brings that even further down to operate the ram with). The pressure in the tank makes no difference in efficiency. If the 3000 did give you less shots than a 4500, what would happen to your velocity as you shot and emptied your tank? It would steadily drop until the marker could no longer operate. As you probably know, that isn't the case - your velocity remains constant until the pressure in the tank drops lower than the marker's operating pressure, or in some cases, depending on the regulator used on the marker, until the pressure in the tank drops lower than the output pressure of the tank regulator.

Since you made this a bet, how much do you now owe me? :P

Get a Pinokio loader if you plan to play back or long senario or woods ball the extra capacity is nice.

I also have a yakuza board on the way . Luckily i waited till USB came out . What would be the best barrel to upgrade to?

You keep the lpr at 75 and lower the hpr by a decent amount, i wanna say 65psi but dont qoute me on it. Youlll be able to drop the lpr if you want but you wont be able to lower the hpr as much if you do.

I have the new yakuza usb oled coming in the mail for my vice, things that are already on it are the rendition trigger kit and the 4c eyes, only thing I need now is the lp poppet and and an on/off asa after that I think I'll be good...

Kila detents arent a big upgrade over stock marq style detents. they are popular with earlier generation intimidator because they had the weak rubber finer style detents

The stock detents work perfectly, i really dont see why everyone is upgrading everything in there vice's.

for barrels i would say the quietest thing you can find; it would compliment the sound signature, specially if you have the LP poppit, or you could get a lucky unitech barrel to match the milling, it looks amazing; im going to order a sanchez machine orbium 3 barrel

for those of you who waited for the new version- lucky punks lol; if i would have known i would have waited too (tear)

BTW im selling the detents and a critical trigger LNIB mint condition if anyones interested pm me

-i upgrade my vice because i want to have THE best; even if it means spending hundreds of dollars
