So my gauge is broken, got a new one, and it looks as easy as just unscrewing the old gauge and screwing in the new one...

But it can't be that easy, and unscrewing the broken gauge doesn't feel easy, I've tried. Any tips or has anybody done it? Please only post if you know what you're talking about or have experience removing the gauge from the regulator... thanks.

Don't forget to wrap a little teflon tape on the new gauge before installation. Also make sure you use the right sized wrench so you don't scratch up the new gauge.

This sounds about right... but God damn is this old gauge difficult to remove. I tried using a pair of channel locks and had no success. I guess I'm just going to have to go out and buy me a ratchet and socket set because the sockets I have are too small for the gauge.

Are you freaking kidding me? Red loctite is permanent!

Oh boy, time to get a new regulator... how the hell were you able to crack this thing with a wrench?
