Tanks

22 July 2009 - 04:39 PM

Is there an $100 difference between a carbon fiber tank and just an aluminum, they are only about 4 ounces heavier on the Ninja tanks so does it really warrant the extra $100? Also would for example a DXS 48/45 carbon fiber for $120 be a better value than the Ninja? Is Ninja really that good that I need to spend the extra $30>

Unnecessary replies in threads

So I have been looking through the new B/S/T and I think it's great and everything, but one thing that is really bothering me and I think needs to be fixed, is that people just read the thread but then look if they did anything wrong or didn't include anything. First of all, that is why TechPB has BST Moderators. So it just isn't needed, yeah thanks but if I were selling something and that happened to me, I would just be annoyed.

Secondly, I don't think a comment like nice gun too bad I can't afford it helps out the seller in any way. It just clutters up the thread. So I think somebody should only comment if they are either trying to help them out with the sale or are offering to the seller.

Sorry if I brush against somebody the wrong way, but IMO, BST should be about getting down to the business. I don't want people just randomly commenting on my sale, I want people to buy it. Just a little rant/suggestion.

Phantom Questions, stock class

So I have been convinced to buy a Phantom over the KP I was looking at and I am just wondering about whether some things are really necessary. I am gonna order it of DoroSports because I've heard they are pretty legit and also because of all the customization and pump gun accessories they have on their site so I don't have to shop around on multiple sites and pay extra shipping.

So first of all, I like my guns to look good and the color matters. I want to get one of the acid patters or the camo ones and Red/Black is my favorite. But the Urban Red looks interesting too, it's more expensive and I have been looking for pics of it but can't seem to find any so I don't now if I want that color or jsut stick with an acid color. A little insight and opinion and maybe a pic on this one.

Next, do clear parts matter? Are they worth the extra money?

I want to keep the stock barrel because everybody says it's a money shooter, but the stock is 11 inch, but for $6 it gives me a 14 inch, I love 14 inch barrels but what do ya think I should pick for performance and mobility and everything overall. Opinions please.

Is the grip comfortable? It looks really uncomfortable and hard plasticy tacky kind of feel. Is it fine or is it as bad as it looks.

The T-Stock has been recommended to me but it's pretty expensive of an upgrade, should I try it without the stock first and then purchase it after using it without if I need one and get it right from the getgo. I'm kinda stuck on what to do.

I don't think I need a red-dot or anything crazy but I've heard of the Ghost Ring sight? And is that a good upgrade or unneccessary.

What's up with trigger shoes. I'm clueless.

Are the detent rings a must to prevent rollout or are they already prevented.

Should I use the 3.5oz CO2 or the 12grams because the idea of 12grams is appealing more to me now but does the tank get in the way? It looks liek it would be a pian in the butt to have on the gun. Some opinions please.

What's the gauged rear adapter. Do I need it?

Also, how many 10 round tubes should I buy. Is 5 enough?

Ok thanks for your responses in advance! Sorry I'm so picky it's just that this gun will last me a long time and I want to know what it needs to make it the best shooter it can possibly be. I'm just new to pump, this will be my first one so thats why I don't know anything about this kind of stuff. But I just need a little opinion and help here to make the right decisions. Thanks.

Kaos Pump and a Phantom

26 June 2009 - 07:46 PM

So I was pretty dead set on starting pump play and I was going to start with the Azodin Kaos Pump but the Phantom looks pretty nice to me right now. What are the pros and cons of each for a new player starting out in pump? Also, I know I will stick with pump so price really doesn't matter that much.
