DOTD 2011

03 October 2011 - 09:22 AM

It was a pleasure seeing Orange and the rest of the supporters for Tech PB at one of Canada's biggest games yesterday. With over 1000 entries (correct me if I am wrong) braved out the cold and a little bit of rain to have the Humans VS Dead battle eachother all day.........great day of paintball as always and the Dead kicked the humans ass.

Having the Devil Dogs taking the honor of most valuable team ended the day with a party!

cheers bro!

Strategies for situations

29 March 2011 - 12:21 PM

Having pre-organized strategies for situations and battles for players on the field is one of the keys I find works for this big game. This will eliminate trying to organize squads of players who are not experienced to do special shit. If the General tells a group of kids or a team to stay put and protect something or guard a base, I have seen in the past that most likely this will not happen. They will most likely bail from that mission and wonder off. There is not much deciplen in paintball big games. The reason is that eventually they will want to go out and play paintball and shoot people instead of hanging out somewhere to guard something because the general told you so. Players will get bored.........I know that me personally I will not want to sit at an insertion to check arm bands and cards and shit, when I will be wanting to be at the front.....,.........

Basicly I didn't drive 10 hours to have the general tell my team to sit and check for arm bands or see if there are spys around. I drove 10 hours to rip the other team in half. I have seen this a million times when I tell kids to do something and they never listen....ha.......

I would love to have people out here give a few examples of experience for EVERYONE to read over so that during the day of the game, the less experienced players might have some ideas in the back of their head to look for while still having fun playing paintball.

Ex: Keep an eye for enemy arm bands behind you. Dead man walking(like Mike said in another thread). If you happen to be walking by a waypoint, check it out for enemies. If you get shot from behind see who did it and tell someone........constantly ask around to what the next mission is or what is going on in the game itself.

any other tips?
