You cant go wrong with the 9.1 or the 8.1. Absolutely love mine, and there's nothing like picking of some cocky speedballer who thinks hes all that cause of ramping and 30bps but you hit him at 200 + feet square in the mask or hopper when he pops up. Only to have them whine about how FS is a cheap shot after. But yet they seem to fine to unload 30 bps towards players using mech rentals.
Has this ever actually happened? It's impossible to shoot 30 bps btw, maybe 26ish maximum. I also doubt anyone you play with shoots that fast because it's a pretty big waste of paint and no one has that kind of money. Also, I doubt they came up to you and started whining that your gun is cheap and unfair.
I personally am both a rec and speedball player and I use a gun that is capable of shooting 25 bps. I use the marker because it is light and comfortable and is easy to snapshoot with and switch hands, and it points very well and is easy to carry around all day. I don't overshoot people and I don't think I'm "all that" and neither do any of the people I play with. You are basically saying that you yourself think you are "all that" because you can shoot a paintball 100 feet further than anyone very accurately. Doesn't that make you as bad as anyone else?
To the original poster, if you polish the internals of the T9.1 and perhaps get an aftermarket barrel that fits the paint you are using well than the amount of shots you can get from the 13ci tank will increase. There is no difference in amount of air used to shoot a regular paintball or a first strike round, so you can shoot either or on the same tank and still expect the same number of shots in total. I have a T9 rifle and it is fantastic to shoot, aiming it is a breeze. If you get a T9.1 you will love it I'm sure.
