This is fantastic to hear!

Welcome back Special Ops, I missed that site. Like quite a few others, it's the place that got me into paintball.

In Topic: FS rounds, Scope or Red dot?

Personally, red dot.

Even FS rounds push paintball range out no more than 200 meters, and a red dot definitely has utility at that range. It's also SIGNIFICANTLY better for close in work.

The ONLY potential advantage that the scope has in this case, is being able to double check if the people you're aiming at are on your team or not.

Errr.... yeah, it's irritating to not get to do what you want.

But, get over it.
You live in a house, that you don't pay for. Your parents do.
You are on the internet right now... I'm presuming your parents pay for that.
You are older than 16 and you can't get a job? That ain't your parents problem. That's yours. Get a job. People hire you if you ask around enough. It's not rocket science and it's nobodies fault but yours.
So if your dad wants to buy a telescope that you don't ever see him use, I am pretty damned sure he's allowed to do that.

And don't assume your parents can afford to send you paintballing. There are a million small household expenses that drain money. If his biggest recent purchase was a telescope, he probably had to save his own money for it, whether it was 50 bucks a month put aside or simply sacrificing one luxury in one month for that telescope. Either way, he's paying for his own crap and a lot of the crap you get to use.

Oh, and instead of buying equipment, buy field fee. I don't even have jersey pants or anything, but I play regularly. Get your priorities straight, then talk to your dad.

I apologize if I'm coming off as rude, but I have no patience for being "Woe is me" when somebody live in a home that has internet access. If things were really so bad, you wouldn't have that... or paintball equipment period.
