Download game at http://osu.ppy.sh/

I want to introduce you guys to a fantastic game that you probably never heard of before. osu! is a free indie developed rythym game based off the DS game Elite Beat Agents (or Ouendan in Japan). This game has been polished over the past few years and has tons of content and replay value. Not a lot of games have caught my attention for months. This game has rankings, replays, multiplayer. You can be as competitive as you want, because there is a difficulty for everyone. It's also an incredible mouse training tool, I've never been so good at Counter-Strike since I started playing osu! This game will also play on virtually any computer built within the last 5 or so years.

The basic goal is to click on the three main gameplay elements as the song progresses.

Hit circle:

This is the basic object you need to click on. You get more points the closer you click to the approach circle reaching the hit circle.

These start out the same as a hit circle with it's own approach circle but you have to continue to click and drag following the slider ball. And if there are arrows at the end it means it will reverse along the same path:

Simply drag and spin your mouse around the center pin as fast as you can. Once you "clear" it, you can continue spinning for bonus points.

An example of gameplay: me playing Pendulum - Propane Nightmares (VIP Remix) on insane difficulty

Here's a few songs to get you started. You can also search for your favorite song or browse and you should be able find something you enjoy. If you want a hint anything tagged "Nightcore" is generally a good bet.
Browse for beatmaps

Inb4 you have terrible taste in music, I know D:

Nightcore - Ravers Fantasy

Commercial Club Crew vs Clubmaster - Sakura Girl

Flobots - Handlebars

Masayoshi Minoshima ft. nomico - Bad Apple!!

Blink 182 - The Rock Show

Yoko Hikasa - Don't Say "Lazy"

Caramell - Caramelldansen (Speedycake Remix)

Lucky Star - Motteke! Sailor Fuku (REDALiCE Remix)

Also if you enjoy playing post your username and I'll place it in the OP. My username is Pearlsea http://osu.ppy.sh/u/446140

Razer L33t Giveaway

30 September 2010 - 05:41 PM

Hard to believe but razer is giving free gear away. My friend sent me the link which is this

In celebration of Razer‘s 133,337 fans on Facebook, we are going to game-change someone‘s (possibly yours) gaming setup. We‘d like to think that it‘s something we‘d give back to our fans in appreciation for all the support, and what better than with all the very best that Razer has to offer. This sort of giveaway has never been done before. Not until today, and possibly not again for a very long time.

Until the 25th October 2010, one lucky fan will get to score the ultimate gaming suite powered by Razer - worth over US$500 - shipped right to your doorstep that will consist of Razer‘s suite of award winning gaming peripherals - A choice of your Professional Gaming Mouse, your ideal Professional Gaming Surface and Gaming Keyboard (just tell us which one you would like to have - it‘s yours), the Razer Megalodon 7.1 Gaming Audio Headset, Razer Armadillo2 Mouse Cable Management System, a Razer Attitude Tee, Razer Messenger Bag, Razer Gear Rack and a Razer l33t Pack.
