Not sure who's idea it was to charge down the road like that, spreading out wide is a MUCH better way to attack than a freight train down a wide open road
If they would have taken that entire squad, and spread them out 6 feet apart, it might have turned out differently
Totally agree. Having made the film, I know the woods to the left flank would have provided concealment as they advanced quickly and if the spread out in a line - say 6 - 20 feet apart and maybe two or three ranks deep 10 - 20 feet back and cohesively rushed through the Allied line - it would have been allot different. It is likely the defenders would be lying down and may find it difficult to shift their fire the attackers ran by them simultaneously along a broad front. They may also be easy targets lying down once you move past whatever concealment they were using in the first place. Note that now; because any surviving teammates are within the defending line, the defenders will also be directing fire towards their own members in an attempt to kill the rushers.
When rushing - do it in a line (broader front), not in a column. Spread the fuck out. Oh yeah - and thumbs up for those rushers.
