What you read on ProPaintball are mostly rumors though.

There are a lot of benefits to .50 cal IF they can get it right.

In Topic: Poker a sport?

24 August 2009 - 04:40 PM

its a sport.... same arguemnt as people have with paintball being a sport it has rules regulations and a structured professional events that are competitive (think of it like chess).

i dont consider chess a sport. i dont consider poker a sport. both of those do not meet any defintion of sport. most people consider sports to have physically demanding principals and a form of teamwork. i do not see poker as a team sport or have any physical demands. now, u could argue that wrestling isnt a sport b/c there is no team aspect and that is fine, but wrestling is a team sport that must b done by individuals who work to make the team win. wrestling is like a 1v1 in football basketball hockey and all the others. one person trying to deny the other b/c if they do it will mess up everything. that was alittle digression and sorry for that. i do not feel that poker is a sport b/c it is more of a mental game. takes no physical abilities.

So high thinking skill isn't physically demanding?

Thinking requires just as much energy if not more than being active. Using your brain is a lot harder than using your legs in a competitive situation because in either you are going to have adrenaline running and I don't know if you have ever been "caught in the moment" but when you are the last thing you do is think unless you are trained to do so.

Yeah that was a run-on sentence but I don't think I could have made it shorter.
