According to who? I play with the guys of Ac:Dallas, the best D3 team in the world. They are sponsored by Planet Eclipse, and they all use Rotors. Obviously they don't use any of their other gear because of their GI sponsorship...

im buddies with guys on extremely successful D1 and D2 squads who are sponsored by PE and thats what i was told. as all of them gave up their rotors as a part of their sponsorship.

honestly, im not trying to get into a pissing contest. if you say they used rotors, ill take your word for it. the most logical answer would be that contracts are negotiated on a team by team basis- possibly getting more and more strict as you get into higher divisions.

Being sponsored by PE doesn't mean you can't use other gear. It depends on your other sponsors. If you are sponsored by PE, and no one else, you can use a rotor and i4's, but most teams will be sponsored by PE and maybe Virtue or Vforce or another company.

absolutely not. PE actually requests you dont use any dye gear.

if you are sponsored by Dye, expect to wear everything dye makes.

if you are sponsored by PE, you are required to use empire gear for everything they dont make. (hoppers, masks, etc.).

Valken sponsorships change from team to team, but generally its usually soft goods.

paint sponsorships dont have many limitations. i dont think dye is requiring anymore to use their paint yet, but its probably very likely they do/will in the future. paint sponsorships aren't from your field at the national level. while they might originate from your field in the sense that your field is good with KEE, so KEE will hook you up at PSP. but bob's paintball isn't going to be footing the bill for your team at a national event. typically any and all paint sponsorship or price break comes at the discretion of the paint manufacturer themselves.

thats not true at all

Huh?

Lots of GI and HK sponsored teams shoot Eclipse.

that actually should have been empire or GI Sportz. for hoppers specifically its either Z2s or spires(no rotors allowed). Dynasty being the exception in that they are HK.

doubt me if you want, but that was from the horses mouth(in this case a close friend of mine on a D1 PE team).
