Topics I've Started

Trilogy Three-Way

28 November 2011 - 05:27 PM

Excuse my ignorance but I was wondering if the idea of bypassing the built in three way on the trilogy and mounting an aftermarket one to the gun would have any adverse effects and if so what?

My theory on accuracy...

21 June 2011 - 05:27 PM

I am sorry if I am addressing a topic that has already been posted. There are just to many topics to sift through in a day.

Recently I was examining my Dye DM7 and my modified pump cocker trilogy. I recalled hearing at one point or another that some pump was more accurate than some electro or semi. At that point I realized that possibly the increase in accuracy is an illusion due to the placement of your forward hand on the marker. What I mean by this is that on most electros or semis you either have you forward hand directly in front of your shooting hand, or in the case of milsim markers the gun is considerably heavier. Both of these situations can make stability awkward or difficult at times. In the case of the majority of modern pumps and many older ones your forward hand is placed much farther forward on the gun and is cradling the barrel opposed to gripping the marker which I have noticed from shooting firearms can greatly reduce you ability to hit the target consistently. Therefore the common idea becomes pumps are more accurate than electros/semis.

This is my opinion from observation not that I am challenging anyone elses beliefs or trying to say your wrong. Feel free to challenge my hypothesis. Also it would be cool if you guys could run a battery of tests to prove or disprove this hypothesis.

How much can trimmed off my trillys trigger frame

31 May 2011 - 09:26 PM

I was just curious as to how much 'fat' could be trimmed off my trilogy's trigger frame without compromising integrity?

Note: I would like to put on panel type grips so I don't want to cut out too much of the edges. Also this will all be done with a dremel so keep that in mind.

Custom pump handle for Trilogy Autococker

30 May 2011 - 05:09 PM

Hi everyone! A few days ago I decided that I would try my first mod (kind of) project. I decided that because I broke my pump arm for my trilogy off in the pump handle(don't ask me how) that I would try fabricating my own from wood. So far I have use a dremel as my only tool and while the handle doesn't look perfect(I favored one side too much and now it's a little lopsided but only superficially) I was able to get a good chunk done yesterday. Now for the hard part(s):
(any recommendations would be greatly appreciated)
-I need to create a slot(I don't know a better word to describe it but the area that hugs the underside of the barrel)
-I need to drill a hole for the guide rod. What do I need to drill that hole?(It is about 5/8" in diameter)
-I need to drill a hole for the pump arm(I plan on grinding down the original where it broke off and possibly using JB weld to glue it into the hole)

Thank you!(I apologize for the extensive use of parentheses)
