Could use some advice on a paintball marker I sold

17 December 2011 - 01:17 PM

Hey all, I sold a smart parts vibe a while back, and now the buyer has come back saying the gun leaks. Also said that he/she went to a shop that said that because the gun was leaking, they would have to buy a new board. I don't mean to be paranoid, but that just sounds ridiculous. I would think that o-rings, and hoses would be infinitely more likely to cause a leak than one of the most expensive parts on the marker. I guess that is what make me really suspicious, that this problem is supposed to have been caused by the most expensive part on the paintball marker.

However, I would like to help them. The thing is, I only used the marker a few times before I just put it away and moved on to a shocker sft that I had managed to get up and working. So, I'm wondering if anyone could direct me to a thorough tear down guide/video so I can try and help them out with the paintball marker.

'99 WGP Cocker Feedneck Project.

12 November 2011 - 11:27 AM

Hello all,

Just wanted to ask a few questions about a project I'm going to start in mid-december.

First, what is the '99 WGP cocker made of? I ask because I do not want to pair up a steel component with an aluminum component. Reason being that doing so could cause some interesting warping(different coefficients of expansion, wierd little chemical reactions, ect...).

Now the project itself is to put an actual feedneck on the marker, and remove the need for those little plastic things that are currently the only option for a feedneck for this marker. The current idea, is to make a press fit steel/aluminum extension to the metal feed tube, and thread said extension with a common feedneck threading(q-lock, ect...).

Thoughts?

2009 SP Impulse Coming Back?

07 November 2011 - 09:01 PM

I so very much miss that marker, and I never had a chance to get my hands on one either Posted Image

I know there had been talk of Empire(speaking of which, where may I find the source for these rumors?) doing a reboot of the impulse, but I was wondering if anyone had heard anything from GoG or any other companies?

Custom Products Regulator Question.

04 November 2011 - 07:32 PM

Hey folks, I've got a few custom products regulators and they are very, very different from each other and from the manual on the CP website. So, I'm wondering if anyone can answer this question for me.

So, the one regulator has a red seat carrier pad(pad at the bottom assembly) and there is a metal disk that was on top of the reg seat(about the circumference of a pencil eraser and about 1 millimeter in thickness). In the manual on the CP website, there is no metal disk and the reg seat is black. Should I leave the metal disk in there, or what?
