Any idea why my Spec-R has blown away 4 solenoids in the past 5 weeks of play?

Definitely get the XL 09's. I am 6'0" and the fit just right. I also have arms on the bit of the long side. wrist to elbow i measure 17" so they cover all and should cover about a 1/4 to a 1/3 of your bicep.

if you buy their paint it can range from 45-55 dollars. i usually buy my paint at Hector's Outdoor Haven at the Columbus Farmers market on my way to the field. He is open til 5pm on Wednesdays.

I didn't bother reading anyone else reply but, Have you been playing already at field but rented all the equipment? I know in a large majority of cases these days starting out buying your own Mask, loader, tank doesn't matter because a rental fee includes gun and all. At the fields in NJ and PA near me I know that they do not lower the rental fee just because you have your own mask, loader, what have you.

Having said that, I used a MR1 for a bit but I found it was too awkward in the hands. I've got big hands and need a marker that i can hold onto easily without my fingers overlapping each other. Would I get that package as they built it? nope. They include very low quality items in it especially the mask. So if you are a player that is just starting out here is what I suggest.

MASK - $30.00 Proto Switch EL Mask. For the cost it is very comfortable and has a great lens already on it. Down the road if you wanted to upgrade to an antifog lens or one with a mirror or colored tint on it you can do so for approx. 30.00 more.
GUN - $100-200.00 You can choose to continue renting or a decent first gun is anything you personally enjoy shooting. I can't tell you what gun to get because I shoot a Dangerous Power G3 Spec-R. Most people hate that gun, but its my baby and does me no wrong. Save a bit for the gun because once you buy a gun you like you'll most likely stick with it for a few years.
TANK - $40-60.00 Anything like a Steel or Carbon Fiber High Pressure Air (HPA) tank will suit you for any gun you purchase. Start with a Steel 48cubic inch/3000psi from any company that makes them. Keep the cost down here because you can always go to the air fill station to refill.
Loader - $30-100.00 This is where you'll want to get a little picky and buying used from the BST forum here isn't all that bad an idea. A used Reloader B, or anything that is an agitated loader, meaning it is motorized is best suited. You will likely get a loader and use it until it does not work anymore. I recommend a Reloader B for your first though, approx. $40-50.00
PACK - As you're just starting out get a simple 2 pod pack that fits onto your own belt. Most new players have no need to carry a lot of paint on the field because they do not shoot it all.

Clothing is any old stuff you got laying around you dont mind getting stains on
