WTS Spump

31 August 2011 - 10:44 AM

Marker: Spyder Victor 1, has Spyder Shutter frame on it. It has been modified into a pump
Condition: 6/10 works fine but cosmetically, it looks like sh!t.
Color: black
Upgrades: um.. Its a spump...
Known Problems: I don't know of any.
Asking Price: $45
Shipping Options: ships free
Trades of interest: none
Location of item: not up for local trades.
What is Included: Just the basic gun

It works fine, I haven't chronoed it, but it should be around 300 fps or so. It has a surprisingly good pump stroke considering that I made the whole thing in my garage. The pump handle is made of red cherry stained red mahogany, it also has matching grips. All of the wood has a polyurethane protective coating on, a little dinged up, but noting a little sand paper and a fresh coat wouldn't fix. It also has a metal trigger frame in case you decide to ditch the scratched up paint job and just polish it. The trigger is a single trigger modded to a double trigger frame, and as such the safety is not functional. The valve is not a modified spyder valve. I found that if you follow viking vick's guide and modify the valve pin, the jb weld shatters after repeated contact with the striker. To fix this I used a brass eagle avenger valve, which is similar in functionality, but has a slightly different recocking mechanism which makes it much better suited to modifying into a pump valve. Normally I use 12 grams, as seen in a couple of the pics, but the 12gram changer will not be included. The 7oz tank and the pocket hopper will also not be included. I sometimes run the tank vertically, it can hold up to a 9oz without problems. If you like I can include the Stock asa which has been modified to take regular 1/8in. NPT threads. It currently has some 11in no name barrel on it, I can add a 16in j&J ceramic for an extra $10.The breach has been milled to accept first strike rounds if you remove the stove pipe.

I'm asking $45 for just the gun. +$10 if you want the J&J ceramic. Shipping is on me. Hopper, 12gram changer and 7oz tank not included

Public Apology

29 August 2011 - 01:28 PM

I'd like to apologize for being a dick in my last rant. I was bored and looking for entertainment. I find arguing fun, and thought I'd put provoking crap in my rant so that I'd be able to argue with flamers. I'm sorry, this won't happen again.

Better Than You

27 August 2011 - 11:30 PM

So this is my some what random rant on people's intrinsic value. What the hell makes one person "better" than some other person?

Is it some freaking test score that is made by some prestigious community who get get off on making individuals feel inadequate?
Is our pop culture correct in saying that good looks are what is really important and nothing else really matters?
Is some one's value determined by their athletic ability as the countless sports fans in this county seem to suggest?
Is it some moral or belief system that makes someone better than someone else?
Could it be money that marks a persons value, as materialist America seems to think?
Or is the answer in popularity, in how much people "like" you?
Is it some special talent or "gift" that someone has that suddenly makes you "superior" to everyone else?
Is it what you have managed to accomplish, your "contribution" to society that makes you worth more?
Maybe it's all luck, and that is all that really matters, how lucky you are.

My answer to this is hell no. None of these "measures of success" mean a fricken thing. So why the hell do we use them? You know you do. You always run some poor bastard though a stinking gauntlet when you first meet them, and why? Because you are worried about how you measure up compared to them. Why is this so ingrained in human nature? Why do people do this? It just pisses me off every time I see it happen, because in reality, it doesn't mean a dam thing.

Just to clarify, because I know the trolls will be in,
I scored better than 98% of the people in America on those freaking test. I am currently fighting off the chicks (and their parents) with a stick because of the way I look. I've been head captain of my football team since I was a sophomore. I regularly participate in my church, and actively research and learn more about my religion. Do to getting a job at a very young age I have much more money then my numerous friends. I have a natural gift for public speaking, and do a copious amount of community service every year. And I am one of the luckiest people I know, in almost everything (except cards).

I'm not bitching about things in my life that could be better. I'm bitching about how people judge each other. Just please fricken stop.
