In Topic: Empire Axe and servicing the reg

you dont do shit
just leave it alone

For real? what is it about the axe reg that makes it so it doesn't ever need serviced like most other regs....is it because it is internally located?

its called "Marq effect"
if you cant fuck with it, it'll last waaayyyyyy longer
its well designed, has fairly loose tolerances, and is generally never adjusted
Also, the design of the axe and mini holds a fair amount of volume in the bolt kit and transfer tube, so the recharge demand is lower, lengthening the life of the reg
set it and forget it

Cool thanks for the informative post! thinking about picking up one of these but I was nervous about its life cycle....I would like to keep the marker for a good while and I don't wanna have to send it into the factory

Great marker at a great price! I won't have enough cash to purchase another marker until September otherwise this would be mine.

In Topic: Kingman Fasta LCD 18v VS Invert Too

23 July 2011 - 12:09 PM

what makes it no contest??^^
lets see..
batterey life FASTA - fasta wins without a doubt, invert too gets about 6 cases fastas get about 10-12
profile FASTA - the fasta actually sits 2 mm lower than the invert too but nice try
capacity FASTA - fasta no doubt (fasta-240, invert too-170-180)
weight FASTA - fasta is 7 ounces lighter there no contest
reliability FASTA - fasta is much more reliable because of the way it operates, will NEVER jam
price FASTA - used 18v fastas go for about $30-40 right now, great price
lid FASTA - if you reload properly as your shooting the lid angle is perfect, look at the prophecy and rotor there almost 0 degree lids aswell
cleaning FASTA - fasta has less screws and to clean it you can just spray some water in it and let it run out the feedneck with no harm done
shells FASTA - halo shells crack all the dam time from nothing falls because theyre so rigid, if the fasta breaks anywhere it wil be at the ridged reinforced feedneck
battery access
FASTA - the fasta has a simple tool-less batterey door while the too you need to remove a screw

soo sorry where does the invert too win in atleast ANY ONE catagory??

Pretty much agree with everything here except the shell thing. Yeah regular Halo shells are prone to breaking but the invert too seemed to be much more durable....mine took some abuse and never ever cracked...I like the reinforced feedneck on it as well. I ran with a ricochet apache and a fasta for a long time and they worked great...I broke the feedneck on my ricochet though so I would say the too wins there. I never broke anything on my too but I did take a nasty dive and broke a bunch of paint inside of it....it was a pain in the ass to clean out....and the fasta is much easier to clean. The too is also tricky to get back together with the battery door screw and you have to be very careful not to pinch wires between the shells. I think the too looks better though. honestly I don't think he will be disappointed with either of these loaders they both work and well.
