All DP G4 TechT Engine Owners!

15 September 2010 - 05:30 PM

I just got done fixing an ANNOYING problem with my TechT Engine. It wasn't the bolt itself, but it was in fact my lack of knowledge. When installing the TechT engine MAKE SURE that the backstop is facing with the cone inside, and the raised level facing towards the barrel of the gun. When installed backwards IT WILL rip out your backstop o-ring and shoot into the grass where you will never find it. Trust me it just happened to me, and luckily for me Dangerous Power generously packaged extra o-rings!

So in short...
TechT Engine Installed with the cone on the inside of the engine, and the raised "floor" on the outside.

Thanks again Beau @ TechT for all your help.

Also on a side note, when I called TechT both times I found their customer service to be AMAZING. No machines, no stupid menus, you just talk to someone and they are so friendly and you can tell they care about their jobs! They love doing it, so I just wanted to say your guys customer support was amazing!

Barrel Kits!?

14 September 2010 - 10:06 PM

I have a one piece .693 CP barrel that I got just to get away from my stock barrel. Now I am looking around to fine tune my barrel, so that I can all I can get out of my DP G4. I have been looking around at barrel kits for a little bit now, and was just curious about everyone's opinion on any barrel kit. The only one I have heard that is good (or anything for that matter) is the Smart Part's Freak Barrel Kit. Now with Smart Parts going out of business they are getting very rare, specially for autococker threading.

Now the kits I have been curious about is:

Planet Eclipse 14" Shaft Barrel Kit
[Link] From the reviews on ANSgear people are saying they are better than CP 2-pieces.

TechT iFIT 6 Piece Precision Barrel Boring Kit
[Link] I know this is exactly a barrel kit, but I was wondering if anyone had an opinion about this "boring kit"?

I guess those are the only kits I have found that I have been told about. I would probably be buying a new 12" barrel if I got the iFIT, because I do not a long 16" barrel.

So if anyone knows better barrel kits to better fine tune my gun I would really appreciate it!

DP G4 APE Rampage Board Setup

10 September 2010 - 12:13 PM

I just got my APE Rampage board for my G4, and when I installed it the gun fires. The only thing is that I can feel the air coming out of the trigger onto my hand. On my board that came with my gun the boards DWELL was set to 12, but now with my new board it has to be something like 18 for it to fire correctly. I was just curious as to why that would be?

How I found out that the dwell was the issue I used the Tune Assistant. I will be also be getting the new TechT bolt for my G4 soon, so that will lower the dwell as well.

Thanks Everyone!

TechT DP G3 Spec-R + G4 Engine Released!

08 September 2010 - 06:59 PM

I have been messaging Beaux@TECHT from TechT (obviously) to see when the engine was coming out, and when I could buy it. It is finally here...The TechT bolt for my G4 is finally here!

I plan to order it Friday as earlier this week I ordered my APE Rampage board, so that killed my allowance on that pay check. So THIS FIRDAY you shall receive my money, but I shall get back in return sweet metal that makes me change my sheets :-p. Ok, maybe that's a little overboard.

If you want to see the bolt for yourself:

CP .693 Coming Unscrewed

28 August 2010 - 08:49 AM

I just shot with my CP .693 barrel all day last week, and for some reason every time I went to grab the barrel and twist it would have a little give to it. So I would have to screw it back on, and I just have a fear of chopping paint or my barrel falling off in general in a long game where I don't twist it. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

No I will not pour super glue in my threads to keep it there ^_^ LOL...

Thank you,
