i sort of wanted the project salvo to upgrade and customize but the kaos just seems like you buy it and the only thing you can really upgrade is the barrel (of course i no about the asa and maybe a new bolt but i wouldn't take a $90 marker that far)
But besides upgrading the kaos seems like a better choice

flame shields up. (yes finally something up my alley) first and for most does weight really affect you? i have a kaos and it was a pretty good gun but i shot about three cases through it and it is either the diablo heat o the gun but i chop a lot of paint then it gets all up in the bolt and makes the gun no cock back. and i thought about upgrading but then i thought to save money until i get a better gun. but as posted above make sure you have a good hpa tank mask and hopper before you buy a gun. and never ever ever ever don't do it (ever) upgrade a 98 custom HORRIBLE IDEA IT IS ONE HUGE MONEY PIT. BUT BACK TO YOUR SITUATION THE PROJECT SALVO IS A FUN GUN TO UPGRADE AND WILL never break down. but if you do not want to lug around a lot of plastic go with the kao s but with the salvo most good loaders might not get on well in the salvo feed neck and if you go with the kaos my set up (in sig) is pretty good with the mask a personal decision but is pretty good for woodsball. have fun :)
