In Topic: Got some questions about sponsorships

Sponsorship can be all or nothing - ranging from a sticker sheet to free stuff. Just contact the companies and ask, it's that simple. The worst thing that can happen is a "Sorry, no sponsorship for your team.".
If you want a sponsorship like Dynasty or Russian Legion - your team has to perform like the mentioned, on a steady basis. So don't expect to get truckloads of free stuff if you give them a call ;)

In Topic: Buying A New Gun Soon NEED SOME ADVICE!

For me yes - I like the handling of the Geo 2.1 more than the handling of the Ego 11. Both are very reliable, simple in the technical design and backed by a very good customer service of Planet Eclipse.

A Planet Eclipse gun wouldn't be my first choice at all, not even a high end gun. But if I have to choose between Ego 11 and Geo 2.1 - it would be the Geo.

Why would a Planet Eclipse gun NOT be your first choice? What would be your top three suggestions?

The main reason for me is the price, not the quality or the kick, efficency or shooting sound.

Well, my top three suggestions for you would be (basing on the info that you want a reliable, easy to maintain high end gun):

1) Ego 11
2) Geo 2.1
3) MacDev Clone GT

From 1 to 3 the "difficulty" with the maintenance is increasing, but still very simple IMO. PE has the best support due to my experience.

My personal favorites would be these guns:

1) Empire Axe
2) Dye NT11
3) Karnivor

The Axe would me my personal first choice - again. Never had problems with mine, shoots amazing even bone stock, not very kicky or loud. Less than the half price of a high end gun and works fine for me. I'm not in the BPS races, I play almost semi (12 BPS cap) or, on rare occasions, Millenium Ramping (10.5 BPS Cap). "Style wins" doesn't count for me - so no need for me to invest more money in a gun ;)
The Dye NT11 is on place two, because of two reasons: at first the price for a new one and second - a NT can be a bitch, even an 11 model. It needs much more maintenance and love than an Axe or Ego. If I manage to get a used one in good condition for a low price - maybe I'll buy one again.
The Karnivor: because I love older guns and the Karni is the most sexy E-Cocker in my eyes.

Just for your orientation, a short list of all guns I owned: Mini, Axe, Clone, Geo 2, Geo 2.1, NT10, NT11, Trilogy, 2k4 mech Cocker, Karnivor, TiPX, Sheridan VM68, AutoMags (Classic and ULE custom). The Axe came out to be the gun with the best price/performance ratio for me and my style of play (SupAir). It is also the one, that feels best in my hands, in terms of handling. I had also the opportunity to shoot an Ego 10 and 11, Cyborg RX, Clone VX, G6R, DM 9 - 11 and Luxe for at least 4k of paint each. So I have checked the most of the high end guns that were floating around last year... and my winner is the Axe. It's not perfect for anyone, but for me ;)

Basing on the first post:

Try to get your hands of any of the three guns and check out, which one you feel best with in terms of handling.

If it is all about reliability: get an Ego 11 - easy to maintain and most reliable gun of the three, in my experience. G6R and Luxe are no bads guns either, but they can sometimes give you some trouble with the internal pressure lines (as said, only MY personal exprience).

I personally don't like rammers at all, I can't stand the LPR below the barrel. So my choice would be an PE Geo 2.1 if you want a reliable high end gun which is easy to maintain.

In Topic: Good setup or time for a new gun?

14 April 2012 - 06:51 PM

Looks like a solid setup for me. I can't tell about the hopper, because I don't even know that model.

If you are having trouble with the gun, you have two options: get it checked/fixed by a good airsmith/technician or replace it. If you are on a budget, I would get it fixed (if you can't do it yourself in a reliable way).

But I know, there is alway the wish for something new or an "upgrade". As long as your stuff works reliable, there is no need for that when you reached a decent equipment level (which you have in my opinion).
