My friend bought an Invert Halo Too from ANSgear. When the loader came in, it was faulty and would not enter into program mode. So, we called Kee sports, as warranties for items bought on ANS are through manufacturer and not ANS, and we got a representative just after a few rings. We told the representative what was wrong with the loader and he shipped us out a new board, no questions asked! (Of course I assume he verified the name and purchase internally)
So I'm just extremely pleased with their customer service and anyone who has any questions about various companies and their cs, Kee gets a +1 from me!
What aftermarket ASA's can you run on the GOG Envy? My friend just got one and he wants to run macro line with an on/off ASA. I've got all the equipment he'd need (straight fitting, macro line) but I'm not sure what kind of ASA's you would be restricted to on the Envy. Any thoughts?
So I got my friend into paintball and now he wants to buy his own gear. I'm a regular paintballer and I know what I like. What I don't know, however, is what a good entry to mid-level marker is. I am specifically asking for marker advice, however any advice pertaining to other gear is welcome. This is what we have discussed amongst each other:
The importance of a mask: My friend knows full well the importance of not only a mask, but a good mask. He has ~$100 in his budget for the mask that he finds most comfortable.
The importance of a loader: He also understands the essential nature of a good, strong loader. In this budget, he has ~$150 for a good loader.
The importance of a tank: We're going with an HPA tank, and probably just a steel or aluminum tank for now, however if the public really suggests a carbon fiber tank, I'll recommend that.
So, the only thing that is left is the marker. I have no idea, outside of the Invert Mini, what a good entry to mid-level marker is anymore. I'm going to let him use my Mini this weekend so he can have a feel for that, and I'll also let him shoot my Ego. This is just to let him feel a couple of different kinds of markers.
My ultimate question is: what markers in terms of reliability, usability (user friendliness), and performance, are there for around $500? The priority is in that order: reliability > usability > performance.
I appreciate all of your input in helping me with this issue. I would like to humbly request that anyone refrain from comments based solely on speculation unless it is specifically stated in the post that the comment is based on speculation. I ask this so that I am able to more accurately asses the nature of each marker suggested.
Hey guys, I'm sorry if this thread is a re-post. I tried the search function but it isn't working for me right now it seems.
I have a quick question about the Ego 08 models. If I am not mistaken it is best to remove one of the screws on each side of the hand grip. Is the screw that should be removed the screw closer to the back of the marker or the screw closer to the front of the marker?
I was just wondering what the differences between an Ego 07 and an Ego 07 Origin are, or if there are any differences at all, as I am not too familiar with Ego's. In addition, what are your opinions about the marker? How does it compare to some of the other markers out there, i.e. dye/proto, dangerous power, bob long, and also other Ego's? Thank you in advance for taking time out of your day to respond to my thread!
