Are you sure it is a barrel break and not your marker chopping paint because barrel breaks and paint chop are easily mistaken for one another if you are not looking at the right things. With that being said if you only have paint in your barrel then you are experiencing barrel breaks but if there is broken paint in the breech of marker and down the barrel then your marker is chopping paintballs. I wouldnt assume bad paint right off the bat until you have ruled out all the possible causes of broken paint.
