In Topic: vlocity vs vlocity jr

21 March 2011 - 10:32 PM

ANs is having a big sale on vlocity loaders but i dont know if the lighter weight of the vlocity jr makes up for the less room and lower feed rate.

The vlocity jr has much better potential than the vlocity. It has a wider mouth which in of itself makes up for any size/capacity issues. It holds 211 when i had it full. With a v2 gangstar chip upgrade at usually 15$ it will pump out paint faster, softer and with no jams consistently better than halo reloader b, dye rotor, and any other.

In Topic: GoG envy vs proto rail

The Gog eNvy is right now the best marker/bang for your buck under 300$. The rail has been plagued with issues and has tons of reviews on it stating that to be true. The eNvy with blackheart board and a decent barrel system such as freak will compete with any marker at any level.

Although the rail is made by dye and seems to be a very nice looking marker and the statistics seem to be good it is not what it seems to be, we've had one on the field to be tested for a couple weeks and I was not impressed. It leaked out of the box, screws were extremely easy to strip, had to turn the velocity down it was cranked ready to blow out o rings on the first shot and the stock barrel is horrible.(I know stock barrels usually arent the best but this one had bad machining and was not accurate at all)

The envy is a very quiet, accurate, easy to maintain and upgrade. Unless you need to be ripping paintballs out at 20bbs than no need to upgrade to a blackheart board(although it is recommended by most ppl to improve the over all use). It is super soft on paint NEVER chops unless they are wet or already borken, gets a fair amount of shots per tank fill. And best of all at 199$ msrp it will give you some extra money to buy other gear you may need.

In Topic: intimidator swap for mini?

Test it out good before you decide to trade. Also remember this sport is full of thieves and liars, that marker might be stolen or have something majorly wrong with it. People have to remember if something seems like its too good to be true it usually is, would you trade your ferrari for a 94 v6 mustang..probably not.

geeze dont scare the kid, while the alias performs miles better than the mini, resale value wise this deal is not to good to be true. They both go for close to the same amount, its not like the kid is giving it away

It's a scary world we live in, no sense sugar coating anything. Just giving fair warning because when you arrive at a field and a group of guys says "hey that kid has john doe's stolen gun" what is the logical course of action if john can prove that was his marker and police make the kid surrender his new "good trade" and he is now without a marker. Resale value depends on age/condition and what year in production the marker was made. Ex: an 08- even 09 or older mini's are riddled with prolems aswell as their msrp is usually around 300$, givin their age, use and problems I wouldnt pay more than 125-200 for one and a guy with an intimidator with an original msrp of 900$ over 1000$ with tax usually getting between 300-500 used wants to trade? Logically something has to be wrong. Just saying to everyone be careful when buying used there will always be those people that sell or trade stolen gear. Dont fall for the "I'm asking 500 but ill take 200 cash if you can pick it up in 20 mins" or the "I need the money so how does 250$ cheaper than what I asked sound" a red flag in your brain should go up saying "wait a second I wouldnt do this so why is this guy trying to get rid of this gear so cheap and quick".

In Topic: gog extcy: ion remake?

01 March 2011 - 02:28 PM

To clarify for everyone it is an all aluminum construction grip frame styling similar to that of the epiphany/eos and ion xe with composit material as the body(same as G1, eNvy) also styled towards the epiphany/eos/ion xe with bolt out back. It will have easy access eye covers and come stock in all black. It has the max flow-r reg system which is in my opinion the best on the market stock or after market. The trigger will not be similar to that of the ion but is much more refined and precise. Unlike the ion the extcy will be capable of using c02 but I would not reccomend using c02 for anything. The ion was stock capped at 17 bbs, where as the eXtcy is 20(or 25-w/e you can shoot with upgrades).

When this marker is released it will be THE best marker on the market under 350$ with a reliable board capable of 20bbs, composit body and aluminum grip frame, precise micro switch trigger, interchangeable body kits but most importantly capable of using all pre-existing ion/impulse threaded barrels, ion bolts, etc. And comes stock with a much better feed neck.
