Trade advice - Dye DM6

19 December 2011 - 02:53 PM

I'm considering trading my Dye DM6 in chrome. Its in very good nick, but I keep wanting to try a poppet rather than a spoolie. What should I be looking at as a straight trade, and how much would I be looking at for me adding a little extra, perhaps £50 or so?

Thanks a lot.

Which speedfeed?

16 March 2011 - 05:38 PM

I want to upgrade my hopper (Reloader B2) with a speedfeed, but I don't know which one I need to get. I can't find them in the UK specifically for the B2, would the Virtue crown for the Halo fit?

Thanks.

Dye Barrel Bore

Just a quickie - what's the bore of the stock Ultralite barrel that comes with the DM6?

Thanks.

A few issues

06 March 2011 - 04:35 PM

Hi everyone,

Had a walkon today as the first outing for my DM6. I was having a couple of problems.

1. I was getting quite a lot of barrel breaks. They were definitely barrel breaks as the inside of the marker was completely clean, only the end of the barrel suffered. What are the common causes for this? Could it have been the paint (Formula 13)?

2. I was getting quite a bit of drop off/innaccuracies. I don't know if this could have been caused by the paint/barrel break issues or if there is another problem.

3. My loader was only working half the time or so. The light was always on, but it seemed like it didn't always want to spin up and I was having to manually spin it to get it going again. One of the marshalls said that he'd had problems using a Reloader B (sound activated) with a DM series marker. Is this true, or is something amiss? I did the usual battery change, although they were fresh to start with.

Any help that you could offer would be very much appreciated. Here is my kit list:

Marker: Dye DM6, all standard
Air system: Dye Throttle 68/4500 (being filled to around 3000 at the site)
Hopper: Empire Reloader B

Thanks.

Sports supports instead of pads

02 March 2011 - 04:12 PM

Has anybody ever used/tried to use the neoprene sports supports instead of "paintball" pads? If so, how dod they work out?

Looking around online, they're a lot cheaper and just as high quality. I was thinking that this could be a good alternative if someone was looking for some pads and didn't want to fork out the 45 for some branded stuff.
