"Yolo" isn't particularly annoying. What stuns me is people wear "YMCMB" clothing and take it all seriously... For those of you who don't know what that is, prepare to have your mind implode. Young Money Cash Money Billionaires. Painful, isn't it?

Meh. I agree with both points, but got tired of having to deal with some hassles of Android so I switched to Iphone.

While I do think they crack easy I don't drop mine so meh.

Audio, it's fine to me so whatever.

I can see where you are coming from but the people you are talking about that enjoy super high quality audio are a minority compared to everyone that wants simplicity.

Which is fine, but I am amazed people are willing to put up with the Apples BS, even if they like the phone.
MZ! You're going to jinx yourself for saying you never drop it! :P (Sadly, the warranty argument doesn't apply specifically to the mobile devices.)

  • Apple releases a phone once a year, their are plenty of other companies that release a phone every other day. Motorola comes to mind. It sounds like you don't like the people that buy the newest iphone. I don't really see what that has to do with the company.
Has nothing to do with the company at all, smart from a business aspect. Ethics wise... not at all. I don't really have a problem with people who buy a new iPhone everytime one comes out. Their money, their decision. It is the consumers responsibility to know what they are getting.
  • OSX costs $20-$30 whereas windows costs $100 for each new OS. Apple also revolutionized smart phones.
That in no way justifies being forced to buy the bridge OS. People still operate XP without any trouble.
  • Syncing isn't brutal. What they do is make it so you can't sync from every computer in the world, this is to keep piracy down, so you have to buy the music which supports apple and the musicians, which you also seemed to dislike.
I definitely don't want to support a company which will only sell me 256kb/s MP3 files. Give me at the very least 320kb/s files. Music quality matters to me, maybe not many, but to me it does.
  • For music, apple takes $.34 and the record label takes the rest, so blame the record companies for scamming the artist. I don't know what percentage unsigned musicians get though.
Got me there, apple does only take .34cents where as the record label takes a lot more (I think it was also the record labels who pushed the $1.29 songs... or so 'they' say.)
  • I treat my phone with care so I don't drop it. I don't need to worry about the warrenty.
Accidents happen, I'll admit I have dropped my phone about 3-4 times in my two years of owning it. Once while moving about 30km/h on a bike, no damage what-so-ever. Carelessness on my part, indeed. It slipped from my fingers and .. Slam! I carried on my day like any other day. iPhone users would have to go replace (not repair, Apple does not repair their phones to my knowledge) their phone at a price. Not to say androids/other phones are indestructible. Mine is currently in for internal repairs. But those were under warranty.
  • They are using a new port to make it smaller, which allows for more room for things such as a bigger battery. The plug is also reversable so you can flip it either way, which is really nice imo
The technology for this has existed for a long, long time. Maybe not the reversible plug - but I fail to see how that is a big whoop.
As many people have said before, the iphone is a simple machine that doesn't need to be tweaked to do what it's supposed to do. It'll play music fine,
It will play music fine in a low-quality format. A new iPhone is surely over $500. I want quality to come with it.
play games fine, browse the web fine etc. Your average joe doesn't care about customizing his sound player, he just wants sound to play. If you want a whole shit load of options that may or may not increase performance go with android. If you want something that will work out of the box go with an iphone. Simple really.
You're right, most people don't need that at all. Still, you're extremely limited as to what audio/video files you are allowed to play on an Apple product. I'm sure most products could play higher quality just fine, but Apple says no.

Oh, and if any of you guys want to support your favourite small-time band. Look em up on a place like Bandcamp, or try to buy direct.
