my next gun purchase is going to be something like this.....

to give a little background on this beauty, its a USGI spec hammer forged LRB Arms M25.... the M25 as a rifle was the last iteration of the M14 to be produced for the Army... its a national match quality milspec rifle designed to meet the needs of the squad designated marksmen as well as the dedicated sniper/marksmen... they are accurate to 1200, even with am 18 inch barrel.....

the stock is a JAE-100 G3 with adjustable cheek piece 3, 6 and 9 o'clock RAS rail adapter plates... the rifle i am building up will have the same spec stock, an Elcan SpecterDR optic, the extended dovetail mounted receiver sight rail... 18 inch medium weight match grade barrel with LRB custom muzzel brake...

its going to be a multi purpose rifle, hunting, home defense, plinking, and the occasional local rifle match.... i do also want to get the Sage EBR sopmod chassis to try out and see if i like the JAE or EBR stock better... the only think i think the EBR stock has over the JAE stock is the adjustable butt stock

yes, i still have plans on getting the FN SCAR 16s... but, this is going to be a harder rifle to build up price wise, as well as the wait list at LRB... as far as my collection... the only guns i will be looking to get are chambered in easy to find rounds, and non AK/SKS variant guns... the only rifles i like that was inspired by the AK are the FN SCAR (inspired by, not based off) and the Sig 556...

I dont know if this will help or not but there is quite a bit talked about concerning EBR vs ProMag vs JAE stocks in the M14Forum.

Been a while so I figured this is the perfect time to post an update on my M1A/M14. Few changes to it. Not a whole lot. You may not be able to see it in the pic below but I have added a scope mount with a tan hand guard (not staying, came with a package of items I bought so I figured... eh why not) and a flash hidder with bayonet lug. The red/green dot that I have no there is from my T9.1 so it wont be staying on there. Just long enough for me to have something until I find the scope I want for it. The beauty of this scope mount that it is actually high enough to where I can use my Iron sights no problem. Pretty stoked about that. Other changes I am planning to do is get a JAE-100 G3 stock in OD with Swatt Black accessories. Already been ordered... just got to wait 10 months for it to come in :(. Already have my engraving drawn up, so I am pretty excited about that.

a bone stock m14/m1a was designed for the korean war/ww2 style of fighting, where the soldier has the time to take a well aimed shot, or, needs a bulky brute of a rilfe to bash in the skull of the guy trying to bash in yours... in the m14 vs ak47 battle.... the m14 wins hands down.... the only battle rifle that comes close to am m14 is the FAL..... and thate a stretch...

if i build up an M14/m1a its going to be getting a sage chassis system and a trijicon accupoint optic

Cant say much about the M14/M1A personally but I can say this. It was a blast to shoot. So much so that I almost cried when I realized I was out of ammo. The erganomics really didnt seem that bad to me. Felt good in my hands and fired amazingly. Had no issues at all really.

Alright, so it is about time I get proof that I actually own one. It is nothing special as of yet. Just a standard M1A with black Synth Stock. I hoping to change that all very soon. So far the only thing I have bought for it is a Thermold 20rnd Mag. Hope to add to that list very soon!

beat him senseless and spend time in jail for it.

So much wrong with that statement that just pisses me off. NOT cause you said it but because it is so true. I could never fully understand how you could get jail time/a lawsuit against you if you elected to defend yourself and your family with less than leathal means when that person place you and your family at risk. Once they unlawfully enter your place of residence with intent to harm or kill, it should be fair game. Unfortunatelly... that is not always how it works.
