This is a dedicated hopperball set-up(read: too poor to buy a large hopper and tank and the amount of paint that set-up can shoot) so I cut the trigger to cut down on the amount of times I accidentally tap it and waste paint.

I would go with the aura. Sure the manual is printed in black and white on normal paper(mine was at least, i have the earliest release i think), and the box is nothing special, but that's all so it costs less. Mokal's customer service is awesome, if you ever do have problems then they'll be really easy to work with. The only problem mine ever had was with the solenoid valve, and that's because the earlier versions had a brass one VS the newer steel ones. No problems since then. I've heard that they just recently changed the board and the trigger to a better one too.

You'll definitely get the newest version ordering from Mokal, but shipping is $20 if you're not in Canada. :( ANS and some ebay vendor has them, but i don't know if they'll send the newest version before sending all the old stock. Awesome to hear about the updates, wonder what else they changed, since they don't really announce any of that stuff unless asked.

Sorry, I have not owned/shot a shocker. However, everyone whom I let shoot the gun at a speedball field liked it, so take that as you will.

Neither of the above is true. Yes, if you are playing on one of the readily adjustable modes, like the 3 round burst or generic ramping modes, then it will reset to semi auto when you turn the gun off and on. However, if you set it to a tournament mode like PSP using the dip switches in the foregrip, it will stay at that setting. Dwell and other settings do not reset, I know this firsthand as I just messed with the dwell on mine today. I own the first version of this gun, just a heads up.I own one, and of all the guns I have owned, it is my favorite thus far.
